Early Christmas today. Got my balanced crank back and a box from CycleX with:
HD studs
HD primary and cam chains
Gasket kit with MLS head gasket
All new main and rod bearings
Primary and cam chain tensioner wheels
Clutch plates
Progressive fork springs
New fork tubes
Think I can have motor and forks completely done by end of month. Hopefully.

Well, wife is gone for a few hours. Engine cases in dishwasher, curing carburetor paint in oven. If she comes home early, I may not live through this. I'll post up some pics when done

I did similar recently,  turn on exhaust fans and when you are finished but a pot with water and lemon juice in the oven on a high temp for 20-30min. Have done it three times now and still living under the same roof.

Be very, very careful or she'll have your nuts on toast in the morning.

Last time I used the dishwasher to clean parts it left an acrid smell that took three cycles and every scented cleaning product I could find in the house to get rid of. Cost me a fkcen fortune to replace said cleaning products and I had to come up with some story that I had had an urge to spring clean - had to clean everywhere to make it look real. But she was pleasantly surprised and ever so grateful

Well, so far so good! Painted carb bodies weeks ago, seems like longer they sit, less smell while curing?? No smell from those. Engine cases had to be stripped of old black rattle can paint. Been working on those for a few days now, scrubbed with hot soapy water in and out, pressure washed. So hopefully (fingers crossed) no smell from those either after opening dishwasher. Also every candle in house lit. Setting the mood

Success! House smells great and I believe dishwasher is cleaner than before due to time these were in there!

Edit: wife came home and said house smells good! Ha!

Got my rods assembled on crank with new bearings and new F2 rod bolts. Also rebuilt primary tensioner with cycleX polymer tensioner wheel.

Not to discourage your nice progress, but do you have the rest of it together? I'm holding off on the engine till I have a roller so I don't have to let it sit around with assembly lube, but again, I'm in a cooler climate too. Wheels and suspension all sorted?

I've got wheels, suspension, electrical sorted. (Wheels/frame/brackets at powdercoat shop now. Trying to do what I can during down time. In all reality, the engine will probablly sit 3weeks, maybe 4 before startup. I was thinking the same thing though, don't want it to sit for too long.

I ordered it directly from Yamiya750. Was buying some other small parts and just caved to temptation and ordered. Polynesian blue metallic

I got me an unpainted tank for the K3 for xmas through JT, couldn't help it either  This is a K1 body set, but its hard to argue that color

Yeah, I was going back and forth between k1 and k2 body sets. I looked at lots of pics of complete bikes and just gravitated toward matched fork ears and headlight paint.
