Sincerely sorry for your loss, John. It's the kind of thing that's inevitable in all our lives, yet it never gets any easier. Prayers for Fran.

My condolences, John.  I can not imagine how heartbroken it is to lose a wife you have built a family with.  I am sure your wife still watches over you and is concerned about your well-being.  So please keep the happy memory of her in your mind.  I don't know what you believe, but I hope that you get to be reunited with her someday.

Sorry to hear, my prayers are with you, my heart is heavy when this happens, your best friend would always tell you to go on and to celebrate life as it is, we are only here for a short time, you will see her again. Surround yourself with friends and family, they will get you though this much easier.
And don't forget to do a long ride for her. god bless.

Thanks again for all your prayers and support!!! It means a great deal to me, more than you know. The funeral is over now and everyone has gone back to their own lives. Now comes the rough part facing the future. I'll try to take it a day at a time, maybe one hour at a time. Again I'm thankful for all you guys, God Bless All of You!!!  John

Lovely photo John. :)

Hope all goes well for you when you return to work. You know, I think grieving 'in parallel' with someone else actually helps - seeing you move on gives me the strength to go forward myself. We'll get there mate, your wife, my son, they'll never leave us really and they sure as hell wouldn't want us to feel this bad for any length of time.

Amen, absolutely not on both counts.  Try to have a joyful happy Christmas with the people you love, and remember those who have passed, with happiness for all the good memories you have of them.

Merry Christmas John. Hope your return to work went well. Continued best wishes to you and your family.

Oh and PeWe's right about a project you know - my bike hasn't known what's hit it in the last day or two. Very therapeutic! :)

I just realized that I wouldn't never had the chance to meet you guys if wasn't for Fran. She's actually the one who got me into sohc's. My Father's Day present in 1976 was a brand new green cb550. I have so many great memories of the great times we had together on that bike. Four years ago I decided to start riding again and bought my current bike on Ebay from a guy in Iowa. It's a 750K6, because of Fran's condition I was only able to take her for a short ride around the backyard. She refused to wear a helmet so I took mine off and around the yard we went. I can remember looking at her face in the mirror, seeing her smiling with her hair blowing in the breeze. What I wouldn't give for one more ride with her. You guys are right though. I do need a project bike. I'm thinking another green 76 550 in her honor. I do have a pic of that bike with my son sitting on the seat somewhere. I'll post it as soon as I find it because we all like pics, right? I can't thank you guys enough for everything. So guys, be on the lookout for for a 76 550 for me Thanks, John

Condolances John.  I'm working on a bike that belonged to one of my Honda heroes. I told his widow sometimes the parts just fall together and it feels like he's watching over me smiling, and other times I wonder if he's laughing at me. She said that would be him.
