Parts starting to trickle in for the wheels.  I also ordered the aluminum sprocket for the rear wheel (from Cognitomoto) to shave a pound or two.

Oh well done. I was joking of course but 520's are more than enough chain plus the combined weight savings including alloy rear sprocket is significant. They obviously won't last as long as a steel 530 but good chains and hard anodizing helps.

I'm currently changing my 750 Kawasaki from 630 to 520, the 520 I'm using is stronger and far lighter than the 630, My friend has a 520 conversion on his GSXR1000 and he's the importer for the chains and sprockets  {all sizes}... ;)

I'm not sure.  I can only surmise he kept it stock for overall fitment with the cush drive and spacers.  Cal might have more insight as he was the squeaky wheel that persuaded Devin to make the 550/750 hubs.

Stock fitment. This hub is far stronger than stock already. Wide rims don't require different spacing on the spoke flange because the rim is centered tensioned, remember. If you spread the flanges, you'd need completely different hole geometry and likely non-stock spokes, and then you'd have to modify the Cush drive. No point, no value in it.

Ya I don't see it that way. Strength of the hub wasn't (isn't ) an issue. You are right that wide rims don't require wide spoke flange spacing but it does create a stronger wheel. The wheel assembly benefits from wide spoke flange spacing not the rim. Anyone purchasing this hub and building a wheel will purchase NEW correct length spokes so that's covered. As far as I see it, the cush drive need not change to accommodate wider spoke flanges. I could demonstrate what this hub would look like with wide spoke flanges in minutes with Photoshop. The only sacrifice may be the symmetrical "V" shape of the flange centre due to the cush drive hub. Maybe that's the issue. Form over function.

It uses stock spokes. Part of the point of the product is a drop in replacement with stock parts. And the hub is MUCH MUCH stronger than stock as designed and cut.

Don, I have found the final piece for this bike.
Go this link and then type in 121G in the search window...seriously, just do it.  This is what all of us wish we could have for our bikes!
