will be interesting to see what boost levels are reached, i am in the process of completing a setup using toothed belts, and have several gearing options ready just in case :)

by the way..  how will your seating position be, with the location of the upper pulley sticking outside the frame? i had to mount the supercharger in a way that let med maintain normal legroom, even with rear sets.

I'll reserve my opinion on the sound until it has an exhaust on it.  I bet it's going to make at least 55hp.

God. Damn. Congrats on the startup. Thing looks, sounds, and runs great. I would send that Rotor over to a machine shop and have it lathed down near the welds. Maybe even drill it out in some spots to lighten and balance it. No one wants a heavy flywheel, unless of course you're trail riding it. I think its great that you don't do much welding but you cast parts in your driveway. lol Awesome job so far!

  I didn't make it for you.     :)

Thanks Captain Obvious.   I wasn't trying to be a downer...wouldn't any bike sound weird without even an exhaust manifold on it?

I think he's talking about all the rust holes around the collector Frank. Repairable though, and coat of BBQ paint will make it look like new. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

This is an excellent project and I'll be watching the rest of it with excitement and interest! Thanks for taking this on, it's so cool and interesting. It's great to see someone casting parts in their driveway in this age of 3D printing and CNC milling. It's something to be really proud of.

BUT...

busy day today, but I managed to go over the welding on the modified rotor.   This was something that needed to be done, but for some reason somebody decided to paint it first.   Carb cleaner works ok at removing cheap spray paint.

Using carb or brake cleaner to prep a part for welding is a big no-no. I'm glad it all worked out OK for you this time, but I strongly advise against doing it again. More info here.

Keep up the good work!

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

Oh wow, gonna follow build.  Question, I just recently installed the same 4 into 1 Kerker on my 77' 550K, the stock exhaust collar doesn't fit on the Kerker header, does the Kerker header not require the collar?  I've seen some other 4 into 1 exhaust with the flanges built on and those don't require the collar as the the fitment into the exhaust port has been enlarged.

Best,
JT

Nice job, I really like the sidecover paint complimenting the drive belts.
Myself I think just adding the grab strap to the seat will make it look pretty good..I like the look of lowered seats.
