Hello,

I wanted to provide some information on my build.  It is something that I am very proud of.  It has been a long road, full of setbacks and frustration.  This was by far the hardest project that I have ever worked on.  I started with this.  It’s a 1976 Honda CB750F Super Sport and I purchased her a little over five years ago.  It took me over four years to build.  A lot of planning and thought went into this build.  My goal was simple.  I wanted something that looked amazing and performed to best of its ability.

This is what she looks like today.

I am very happy with the way it turned out.  This bike is so meticulously designed and put together for the purpose of performance.

My first hurdle was to make the bike clean in the middle and to remove all the clutter.  So I had a gas tank designed with and oil tank in it.  I also fit all the electronics under the seat hump.  Everything is hidden on this bike.

The frame was de-tabbed and braced.  The tank was moved forward.  The suspension is fully squared away.  I had custom YSS shocks build for this bike and my weight. It is equipped with the latest generation GSXR750 Big Piston Fork resprung for the weight of THIS bike, with Brembo monoblock calipers, and Cognito front hub and triple tree.  The rear brake features a custom carrier with Brembo caliper off a Ducati Monster.

The engine is a 915cc beast with Carrillo rods, ported head, and performance cam -- topped off with RS34 carburetors and GIGANTIC Steel Dragon velocity stacks.

I sent all of my engine parts to Cycle X. I got the Pork Chop version and it is gorgeous.  I received a bunch of other goodies like my lighted and balanced alternator, super gasket kit, manual primary chain adjuster, race cut transmission, Cycle X heavy duty primary chain, cam chain, Cycle X heavy duty case studs, etc.....

Here are my Carrillo Rods and they are pretty!

Transmission and Cycle X primary chain adjuster installed

The cylinder head:
-Cycle X #4 Race Port
-Kibblewhite 5mm Bee-Hive Spring Conversion Kit
-Oversized intake valves
-Light weight intake valves
-Light weight exhaust valves
-Intake guides and seals
-Exhaust guides and seals
- Keepers and lash caps
-Titanium retainers
-Chrome silicon springs
= BEAUTIFUL!

915cc Big Bore Kit
The 915cc Pistons are gorgeous. I also had the pistons coated.  That’s why the skirts are black.

Here is my new CX-7 camshaft from Cycle X.

Here is my new APE adjustable cam sprocket

My rockers were welded and lightened with titanium rocker nuts.

The gauge is one of my favorite custom parts.  I put a lot a thought into.  I came up with a trick mount for my custom combination analog tachometer and inserted Motogadget miniscope.  The gauge is fully rebuilt with Joker Machine trimmings.

My gauge is gorgeous and it works like a charm.  All the idiot lights work like they are supposed to.  I have the neutral and oil pressure lights working.  I am very happy with the way it turned out.

I have all Motogadget electronics:  M-Unit, M-Lock, switches.  It is clean and tucked under the seat with a Li-Ion Anti-Gravity battery.  The M-Lock RFID has a hidden gusset that points the wireless key under the seat to activate and lock the electronic system.

All this makes for an awesome bike and a blast to ride.  Again, I am very happy with the way this turned out.

Check out my build for more details!  And thanks again for the nomination and the vote.

Sam

Thanks for the build summary, Sam.

This bike is so well thought out.  I love the frame tube bracing up front and rear.  It is simple and looks factory.  The engine is pure performance bike porn.  This bike might not be able to keep up with Sam's Ducati 1198, but it sure will one of the faster 750s out there.  The suspension and brakes are a huge upgrade, too.  I cannot wait to see you riding this bike, Sam.
