Lame, I just bought an original 4 into 4 for my 78 750K because delkeivic didn't have the right pipes when I checked two weeks ago. I'd way rather have stainless steel even if its 4 into 1.

That 'mount' is thicker than my Kerker so you're less likely to bend it like I have.

No you didn't. This is the first one sold for the late model head that uses studs instead of the bolts that are used on the earlier heads. Those larger diameter pieces are welded on.

Hope to have it re-installed tomorrow. Trying to get that damn neutral switch installed first. Forgot to do that while it was on the bench.

but you can use the same studs in place of the bolts...the cylinder heads are all the same in respect to exhaust

Let us know how it goes when you've done a few miles Jerry, the problem I've had with every stainless pipe I've had is "browning" which happens the first time they get hot. It doesn't harm the metal, it just looks crappy as the pipes turn from shiny silver to a dull brown over a few days. Cheers, Terry.

I don't mind the golden hue that stainless turns providing the pipe is polished first.
Then the golden hue looks quite nice and is easy to maintain with the occasional metal cleaner like Mothers.

I just sent them a message inquiring about a 650 version.  I offered to send them a 650 header I have laying here.  I would love to have one of these pipes on my bike!

Thanks Jerry. The old jardine system on mine is holding up OK (after I rebuilt the muffler in 2011) but this looks like it has better ground clearance.

CB, only problem is they manufacture in England but they do ship containers of bikes and parts from the US.

Looks great, thx for the write up Jerry.   It's amazing they can sell it for that price.

Direct from the manufacturer sales. No middleman costs. No welding of pipes to collector. Simple system to produce.

These are made in China for Delkevic if you believe the internets and if that makes a difference to you. Seems like 90% of our products are made there now anyway. I try to buy Made In The USA but it's getting harder and harder to find AND justify the cost difference.

Is the 1.5mm wall thickness pretty much standard for pipes or are some 2mm?

The Hindle pipe that was recently pictured on this site wasn't what I would call a "performance pipe", is had NO merge collectors, it didn't even have equal length pipes. When mentioning"racing heritage" to recommend a product, one would clearly expect a "race' Style pipe...? It may have a slight gain in performance by having less restriction, but using racing heritage is misleading, I'm specifically referring to the Hindle pipe last pictured on this site , even good street pipes have merge collectors... I'm not saying that Hindle don't produce some good pipes, Mike Reick has a proper performance Hindle on his bike, its just that the only one I saw lately for a SOHC  wasn't whats clearly recognized as a "performance" pipe...

Hey Don... the F model had a 4 into 1 stock....

Jerry may know the weight difference, I'm guessing the Delkevic is lighter.
