We were towing home from the drag strip Sunday and blew out a tire on our trailer. I'm so fed up with the cheap ass 15" trailer tires. We've had a few tire failures but I caught most of them before a blowout.
I returned to the tire store where I got the last set of 5 and of course they don't sell "those tires" anymore. I've never gone back for a replacement tire and been able to buy the same tire as the last time.
I had my ramp, a bottle jack and battery impact and got it changed, the worst issue is moving the racecar to get to the spare tire well. On a do-over I'd have a wall mounted spare.
A State Police officer stopped and gave us some safety support. During the tire swap he asked if I was "all right? " I thought I was going to get a sobriety test, it turned out my arm was bleeding from a cut caused by the tire cords.
I told him I'm just old and thin skinned.
