lol....he knows his way around a bike. That's what's got me scratching my head!

He has been riding for 20 odd years, owns a small engine repair shop etc.

The only thing I can think of is that he owns 2 brand new Harleys and the CBR doesn't want to embarass them in his garage when it fires up!!!

I've got some kind of acquired alcohol allergy.  I used to be able to drink a lot, and with no problem... but this thing snuck up on me.  First I'd mysteriously feel a little ill after drinking wine or something on trips, then I'd have a drink or two at the bar and be sick all the next day, then I was down to a bottle of beer and I'd get sick that night and the next day. I bought some na beer just to see if I can handle it, cuz sometimes a nice cold beer tastes good in a way soda doesn't, and I've got a #$%* of a headache after just clearing the neck of the damn thing. :P

I'm pissed. :(

Time for a little medical mary jane to save the day.

Just talk to Dr. Gonzo about a prescription.

FYI, Kit.  N/A beer has a very small amount of alcohol in it.  In other words, it's not totally N/A.

Just a heads up Kit... When I used to tend bar, I had a good customer who had the same sudden symptoms you describe. Turns out it was an allergy to the yeasts and other ingredients used in beer and most liquors. He tried potato vodka, and was fine. I know its not beer, but maybe. Theres also a gluten free beer that apparently works as well...

Huh. good to know.  I should probably go for an allergy test, but for the past year it's been easier to just not drink.
I'm okay with it; it's cheaper to go out now.  I just thought I'd give it a shot again.  MX doesn't think my headache last night/today was related to the beer, more likely the eyestrain from doin' homework w/o glasses and #$%*. There's still hope.  ::)

IT RUNS #$%*ES!!!!

Put a new battery in and then realized the cable to the starter switch was busted so went back out to Partsource and once I put the new cable on I realized there were a few other loose connections....tightened everything up and she fired!!!

Not running overly smooth and only took it out of the garage long enough to turn it around and put it back in properly since I didn't have to push it this time!!

Still have mucho mucho work to do but at -12 degrees without the wind chill that was all I was willing to tackle right now. I can tell I will need to do a bunch of electrical troubleshooting but I will wait for a warm day in the garage to begin that. Also, I noticed that the throttle is EXTREMELY stiff so will check out the cables and make sure everything is lubed properly and hopefully that will clear it up.

I is a happy boy right now!! My house stinks like unburnt fuel!! The wife hates it....  ;D

this is from the peta page but i thiught it would be better here

i had an idea for marketing human cheese (not fromunda cheese) like a real exlusive product... i then started wondering what race would produce the most milk... i kinda thought it would be the germans or black women... then i wondered if u could flavor the cheese by whatu feed the women..... the market is huge.... i just remembered this isnt the south side bar oh well
that's a uniquely grotesque idea.  10 points to the sicko in Pittsburgh. ;D
kit really? about the human cheese? if u remove yourself from the situation and think about it we drink milk from some weird animals and  and eat the rest of them and find it taboo to drink the milk from our own speicies...im telling u theres a market out there for it

We also wear leather and eat meat, but it's taboo (for whatever reason) to kill people, flay their skins for lamp shades, and eat their tasty, tasty, pork-like flesh.
Rules are made to be broken, man.
My thought on the cheese thing:  While women might produce more milk in general, they'd be pretty iffy on the leather/meat side of things.  I think you need to keep a barn full of geldings on hormone therapy. Beefies with full on, lactating #$%* tits.  Greater BMI means more surface area for better leather goods and better marbling of the meat.

Further, that is a rodeo I'd pay to see.

Ok kids, create a goofy thread if you want to argue the finer points of literal human consumption.

This is a dive after all, we have rules and standards that are to be maintained.  :)

bovine microorganisms and bacteriological flora and fauna rarely transmit to humans. Aside from the grossout factor and the obvious e. coli issues, you could most likely sit down and eat a heaping plate full of cow #$%* with few ill effects.  Cholera is why humans have to make cat holes.
