The federal tax rates run from 10-35% on taxable income. It is only a portion of your total income as we all sorts of deductions and exemptions. Your experience and outcome may be different.

ugh, I have the hardest time living where I'm living right now, it's really stressful.
   I wish I could talk about it on this public forum, but that would not be advisable.

I've saved up a good amount of money so far and I should be able to move into an apartment real soon.

Actually, I remember hearing several times before the election that Quinn intended to raise the income tax. Besides, we gotta do something to get out of this hole we are in.

So you don't think some of those politicians could afford to cut back on some of their perks?
How many state bureaucrats could do without that state funded and fueled automobile to save the taxpayers a little green? Just one example of excess in public office. Not picking on you syth, just pointing out that I don't see the state's officeholders suffering as much as the states common man.
