for anyone who wants to chime in, has anyone tried a front MC with a bore smaller than 14mm to handle dual disc work up front?

I have a Nissan MC that has a 1/2" bore which is about 12mm, 2mm shorter than the amount recommended for our piston diameters....I think im gonna try it out anyway because this amazon MC is just not up to the task anymore and the lever is never consistent
I tried one once on my F with dual discs, never was able to bleed up enough of a lever.  I don't know if this was my error, or the fact that it was a used Nissin bought off eBay.  Anyway, I ended up with a used '90's era Nissin 5/8"(I think that was the bore size) that has worked great for several years now.  Just the other day I used that same 12mm that wouldn't bleed to push the pistons out of a 750f rear caliper I am working on.  Those 750f rears are 2 piston calipers but smaller than the pistons on the front.  So I don't know what's going  on lol
A 12mm or 1/2" will work with dual discs if the calipers are the earlier models with the 38mm Pistons.
The F and later model K has a larger Piston, (42mm I believe?) so the Master Cylinder would need to be in the 14mm, 5/8" range.
 If we're talking Radial Master Cylinders; Then those would be in the 20mm to 24mm range.

 As for sources and brand; I've had best results (and prices) with used Nissin or Brembo threw E-Bay. Just need to pay close attention to the condition.
 (Stick with brand names for access to rebuild kits)

I ordered a 16mm master cylinder to see if I can achieve a firmer lever for my dual disc. I'll swap the 1/2" Nissan onto my cb500 with single disc and see if this a nice fit.

If I had put an ounce of thought into how the brake system is functioning I would have figured it out sooner, this 16mm MC did the trick, nice firm lever and zero over travel. I have so much more control over this beast now.

Before I would get a firmish lever then it would require me to compress it some more…that didn’t apply well to the real world.

Problem solved, moving on.

While I was able to improve upon my breaking I still think a swap over to a two pot Beringer caliper would be better performance and less weight.

rotor is $660
caliper with mounting arm $600

I imagine one of my SS lines will work and Maybe a stock MC or the 1/2" Nissan off the CBR may work.
New standard fork legs and internal springs from race tech are on the menu over the winter, Ive been eye balling a used set of Öhlins online for one of my bikes as well.
