We got it from Harbor Freight a while back. It shoots T-50 style staples. We use 1/4" long staples for recovering plastic seat bases.

Still dealing with this evo sporty. Reverse thread clutch backet nut came off and left all it's threads on the transmission mainshaft... Amazingly didn't hurt the thread on the shaft any. Waiting on that.
Did throw the cam cover on.
New oil and filter.
Did the static timing for the ignition.
Getting ready to pull the rear wheel for the swap there.
slow Progress 74 cb550.

Discovered the three year old Yuasa battery in my XS650 has apparently moved on.
It will no longer take a charge.

I have been able to recover lead acid batteries by discharging with a load, like a headlight, and then charging it up to 15V, several times. Also, you might try a "smart" charger with a de-sulfation mode before giving up on it.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Yes I am going to mess with it a bit. Nothing to lose. It was fine less than a month ago.

I got some of the kids out for air in the tires and some vanity shots.  No rides yet (been busy as all get out), but at least they all run.

Replaced the seals on my clutch slave cylinder on my Valkyrie.  The cylinder itself isn't bad- three bolt and the line.  UNfortunately, to get it off you need to remove the ENTIRE sidestand and, in my case, the center stand as well.  It's been an adventure.

i had to go through that, didn't bother putting the centre stand back on, made it all the easier to make the decision to sell it

I use the center stand WAY too much to not put it back on, but I can definitely see where you're coming from.

For reference, the sidestand on a Valkyrie is on a bracket that's bolted to the frame, rather than welded, and the (aftermarket) center stand uses one of those bolts to attach.  This means you need to carefully thread a bolt that's almost impossible to see into the end of the center stand bracket, while fighting the spring on the stand itself.  Which wouldn't be so bad-

Except the bolts can't actually be REMOVED because the engine is in the way.  So if those get cross-threaded, you're pulling the motor (or something equally drastic).

Cave in rock IL
Its 385 miles from the house roughly
After gas stops and detours it ends up being around 400/410 each way.
That will be my first entry into franks thread for this year. Will prob ride about 50/70 miles a day while there given if its not raining.  The. A long ride home likely to be in the rain.

Today I'm just now going to get the bike off the lift. And check the clutch adjustment. Been busy and had a mishap changing some seized exhaust studs on the rear cylinder yesterday.
I ended up having a weld nuts to the studs then weld a socket to the nuts. Was a hassle lol.
