Laid out the tires in the sun to soften them. Got the 120/80 one mounted and put air in, and I pinched the tube..........so off again.

This tire is for the rear of this pieced together CB/CLSL350.

I usually hang my tires on a nail on the south side of the shop (black batt ‘n board).the power of the sun on a bright, summer day is amazing. Makes them so much easier to pop on!

Also, I try to make sure some light lubricant is on the rubber, I use window cleaner or similar that doesn’t leave a slick after drying.

For my '69 Bonnie, rear wheel laced with stainless steel spokes and trued up.  Slow progress since my wife fractured her knee cap.

Cliff….. I get that. When my wife destroyed her heel I found it pretty hard to get down to the shop. I did manage to complete a few “kitchen table” size projects….
Happy New Year.

Did a bit of float repair on an SL100 project.

This bike is pretty rough, should be a fun project...

I like this bike.

I have a CB100, and a CL100.

The CB is kinda finished and the CL is next on the block after the CB/CL/SL350 is finished.

I like it too!  In particular, I'm moving towards smaller bikes in the shop.  I've been watching Dale Sweger. (https://www.youtube.com/@montana2strokeracer),  having a ball on YouTube working on small bikes and thought it might be fun.  I'm almost 70, and they are easy to move around the shop, and you can fit more of them in!

I'd really like to have a SL350, maybe the next bike once I get my current projects complete...

Yep, I'm almost 70 too, and they are much easier to push around. Problem for me is both knees have been replaced and I think the s crewed the left one up, cause it hurts more now than it did b4 the operation. Course there's a little exaggeration there, I just know it wakes me in the middle of the night, as it didn't b4.

I'm putting the 350 together from various bikes, but I'm also gathering the original parts as I can afford them, so after I'm finished with it as it is and ride it some, I want to fix it up as close to original as possible.

Just prices are going up and I have to really shop around till I get something I can afford.

I'll ride the 350 while I'm building the CL100, then I'll start clearing out the stable, and get it down to just a tickerer and rider.

I know right.....!!!!!

Some still have them stashed away in a barn or garage and don't know or care they are there.

Well, I guess 3 times the charm..........

Installed the new tube, air came out just as fast as I aired it up.

Pulled it back off, installed another, more carefully, I thought, NOT, aired up didn't hear air escaping, ok, two days later flat........uuuugggghhhh...!!!!!!

Put in 50lbs of air and could hear air coming out. Tire is back off the bike, awaiting new inner tubes to arrive.

Good thing too, cause noted the brake actuator was locked. So that has been taken care of.

Still chasing electrical gremlins. Just can't seem to get a tail light. Maybe cause I'm using an LED, same with the turn signals.

I got the brake light working and the turn signals light up, but won't blink.

Work in progress.

The CB750 is still sitting in the back ground waiting to get out in the warmer weather. Suppose to snow 3inches here in Georgia today. 16 degrees tonight.

Does your tire have a small thorn stuck through it ?

Does your tire have a small thorn stuck through it ?

When I pull the tire off again, I will check for sure.

And will be extra careful installing it again.

Now I have inner tubes that are new and have just minor pinches in them.

New tubes arrived yesterday, but snowed about 3 to 4 inches.

Today, to freaking cold to go out in the garage and mess with it.

Supposed to be in the 60s come Friday. So, will wait.

Was a beautiful weekend, rolled the mighty Z1 out of the garage, checked fuel, three quarters full and cranked it. About 8 seconds later she roared to life, not bad for a bike that hasnt been run in six weeks or so.  Put a little air in the rear tire and I was off....

The ride was a little cold, I didnt put my insulated jeans on and I couldnt find my gauntlets, damn wife!  [whenever I cant find something, it's typically her that "put it away". She wasnt home so I didnt bother calling, she prolly doesn't even know what gauntlet gloves are...ha!
Enjoyed the ride no less.

I sold it!

I've had my Royal Enfield Continental GT535 for nearly 9 years, so decided to sell it and buy something else

Weather wise, today and tomorrow are the first 2 motorcycling days this year and I don't have a suitable bike to ride

(My classic race bikes don't have lights and the low temperatures here means the Suzuki GSX-R1000R won't get enough heat in the tyres)

Oh well,  better decide quickly what to buy next....

My son bought a new Continental GT650 in 2019 and it's a great bike, but I've been admiring the 535 single for many years. If I see one going cheap (like me) I'll grab one. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)
