If Hope's girlfriend isn't able to do it, I'd be happy to help with the layout. I make my living as a graphic designer and would be able to make time to do it (for a free copy of course) ;).

Message me if you'd like my help.

Oh, it will go to press.  I put in on hold for several reasons: 1. members were slow to provide stories (still are but that is okay) 2. I lost everything I previously created when my laptop took a dump. 3. life  4. now I am in the process of buying a new home, so the hold will be longer (just like trying to contact your cable service  ;D)

I'd like to contribute my pictures, stories, and time to bring this to fruition. I have a couple of ideas:

1. Divide some responsibilities. I volunteer to do all photo editing, but I'd like to stay away from any copy writing/editing or page layout.
2. I am in Chicago. I own a DSLR camera. I know how to use it. I'd be more than willing to get together with local members to photograph our bikes. I'm thinking some beers and food, poser pics and action (riding) shots. I have none of the latter.
3. Other cities should do the same.
4. Set a definitive deadline (July 15th?) for everyone to get pics and stories together for the book.

Let's get this going!

i'm with you!
photography is a passion of mine too. (sometimes it pays some bills too)
im 1 hour south of NYC and 1 hour north east of philly.  im willing to drive up to two hours in any direction to take shots of bikes/owners.  i even have the equipment to shoot action shots of you on your bike riding.  night or day.
if there is any thing i can do please let me know.

I can think of at least 6 members here in kansas city that we could get together. I have a friend that pays all his bills with pictures. *shrug*

Thanks guys for all of the support.  Once I get settled in my new home this summer (move date the third week of June) I will once again begin the Coffee Table book from scratch since I lost all of it with a computer crash (about a months worth or writing, editing, etc.  >:(

first lesson in computers never absorbed until it actually happens.
i really wish i'd backed up a semester's worth of schoolwork when mine crashed.   :'(
i like DVDs... they hold a lot and they are in a disc format that we're used to and we have all sorts of protectors for them.
ftp is a good option, as well.

been a long time since i've felt creative in writing... i have plenty of pictures though!

I keep all sorts of flash drives, external drives, and backup drives in my house.  I just had a computer built with three separate hardrives.  The new computer is a clone of my old hard drive.  Hopefully I have set myself up where I have duplicates everywhere.

Last year I lost an external drive just because it tipped over.  Funny, when I was in the military we used to drop the entire huge PC on concrete and it would still keep ticking.  Something barely fall over = dead.   I lost all my websites.  Most were already uploaded to my customers' websites, but all new, original unpublished work was lost.

Sparty, lemme know if I can help.  My gf (graphic designer) had a suggestion about compiling the pics & stories and using a service that allows you to upload the completed file.  Then, people could order from the site.  The site would take care of filling the orders and shipping.

If this appeals to you, I can find out the company name for you...

Did I mention that I have a coffee table book completely dedicated to Cassandra?  It turned out great.

Here are some not so great pics of my coffee table book.  I took them real quick just so ya'll could see.
