Yeah, but what happens when you change up into 3rd gear?  ;D

Oh, now you are catching on Mate.  Third gear at 6000 RPMs it is still a pussycat.  Third gear at 9000 RPMs it hums along nicely.  ;D Third gear above 9000 RPMs it spins to the heavens. At 10,500 the Dyna 2000 rev limiter kicks in.  Forth gear at 8000 RPMs and my speedo needle will bury.  I have yet to hit anything above 5000 RPMs in 5th.

The only way my bikes would do 120+ is if someone dropped them out of an airplane. I don't know if they're capable. I just know it's not going to happen....

terminal velocity of a falling object isn't even that fast.  ::)

Actually I believe 120 mph is about as fast as an object can fall as long as something isn't creating excessive drag, based on it's weight and shape/size.

yup.  wikipedia

terminal velocity is the velocity at which the air resistance force of a falling object equals the weight of the object minus the acting force due to air, which halts acceleration and causes speed to remain constant

why does 32 feet per second squared come to mind with falling objects?

NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!

you know i'm thinking, if we can waste space on a motorcycle forum with this "hot babe" garbage, can we have a thread dedicated only to pictures of beer? seems about as relevant to motorcycling...  ::)

So babes are garbage but beer bottles are ok? Wow.I can say I have had more fun with babes then beer. However, if you can start a thread about beer pics or even booze pics in general, AND have it hit 72 pages then that is awesome. Just remember, you dont have to look at every post here. I sure dont.

The beer an babes thing beget one another, at least in a younger frame of mind a long long time ago.

I had a new out of the box 750 do 175 MPH up hill in the snow with a passenger, towing a sportster back in 1972.

I ran it on jet fuel and 3 and one oil.

And that weekend I caught a 75# bass with a pop top and floss. I fed the five women I met up with and after the meal, around the camp fire and three casks of wine later, well let us say it was a pleasurable experience for all involved.

That was when The Stones came to town, I will save that story for later...

The next day I woke up, every one and thing was gone, I realized I was only FOUR! and the speedometer on any Honda CB750 did not read remotely accurate after 30 mph.

C'mon Eldy, fess up mate, there were no babes really, were there? We all know you were all on your own, so it's ok, truly. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

There already is a thread dedicated entirely to beer.  http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=7168.0
It hasn't been added to in a while, but feel free to resurrect it.  Maybe it will help you get over this recent obsession with the babe thread. ;) ;D

i'm not obsessed or offended, gordon, i just don't really get it. but hey, if that's what people want to do on their motorcycle website, fine. maybe we should have a child care section on here too, so people really never have to leave their "community."  ::)  ;D
