Hey HT,
So did this DUI b!tch have insurance? If so, are they covering all your losses: bike, medical, work, etc. ??? ??? If so, are you shopping around looking to replace 'Havoc' or just going get something else instead?

I got the XS850 for $400 and ride it almost everyday. I'm only on a cane (it's embarrassing) so I can ride as long as the PT lady doesn't know I take off my sling for my arm.

My insurance company covered all my costs plus my $3600 argeed amount. They are going to handle recouping their $$. I get calls almost everyday from ambulance chasers looking to cash in. Maybe I'll take them up on their offers. I have 90 days to do so.

I'd love to have the turbo back, as I built it from nothing. It just seems that replacing it with another turbo 750 will not be enough. I'm a little too sentimental in that regard. If only I treated women that way eh?  :D

Besides I have huge plans for my CB750. That'll have a turbo for sure.  ;)

I had a red '84 Honda Ascott 500, my first bike, that I called "Tetsuo".
My Dad's mothballed '76 CB750F, which sat in the garage for years has now become mine, and it is called "Kaneda".

"The Other Woman" -- Because she doesn't care if I ride someone else.  She only cares when I ride her.

My other bike is called "Nine Lives" -- named after my builder, fabricator, mechanical guru and friend, Chris Redpath.

#$%*heap, the blue/black/silver monstrosity all depending on what color it is.

71 BSA Lightning- Dawg, cause it marks it's territory when I park it.
72 CB 750-Yellow Jaundice, the color and condition it was in when I bought it.
66 CB77- Dad's bike, self explanatory.
The previous 3 Honda's, 2 Harley's and a BSA had no names.

Sometimes I think of my '77 750 F2 as Black Beauty, but usually only in my head. I don't really say it out loud  :)

We Went Out Shootin'.....

...... my wife & I with our revolvers.  Out in the boondocks, about 70 miles north of Phoenix in the desert, area called Badger Springs.  A creek called Aqua Fria meanders amongst some pretty tall rock cliffs.  The cliffs have Indian petroglyphs on them........ including carvings in the rocks of Indians on horses.  My wife was very impressed with the carvings in the rock walls showing the Indians on horses especially.

After we wasted a bunch of old cans with our revolvers, wife says, "Let's get back to our pony and ride him."

When we came around the final bend in Badger Springs and got our first clear look at our 750 K4, we could see our two helmets sitting on the seat of the bike.  My wife and I looked at each other, and then I said,..... thinking of the Indians carved in rock on their ponies,..... "Look, there's our Two Noggin Pony!"

The name has stuck.  Two Noggin Pony is her official name between my wife and I.  I always break the rules..... when I talk to the bike, I always just call her Sweet Heart....

Apparently the moderators of this site won't allow me to post what I call my bike when it wont work! ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

NIKE-A-GO-GO for three reasons
1. Little bastard was already screwed (james dean's 550)
2. nike is a out-dated missile that never got used (cold war)
3. Any name worth having is worth stealing from a misfits song

I used to call my VF1000 Interceptor (RIP) my "whisper bike" because it would always whisper at me to "go faster".
Funny thing was I crashed it doing the speed limit (bikes don't hydroplane well at all)

1979 XS400 is just "the rat" name says it all....

I don't have a name for my current ride, 1973 750 K, but I am thinking about "winter nose" cause no matter what, it is always running

And I do have a propensity to give my bike a pat on the seat or whisper a quiet "thanks for the ride" after a day out.

If we don't appreciate them, who will? Isn't that what this whole forum is about?

If ever there was a creator of bastard sons, it is the open road, for she has claimed so many young men yearning for freedom......

That's pretty good, but if you can destroy your bike at a stop light like Havoc Turbo, then you've got a story.
