All dressed up and nowhere to go! Just getting ready to take a ride and the water truck went by spraying the gravel road with a calcium/water mix to keep the dust down, so no riding for today at least.

I used to ride around North Wales in June each year. That seemed to be the month the local governments had a blitz on mountain road repairs. It was fine at first, tarmac and heavy rollers leaving a nice virgin surface. The last decade, they seem to throw some tar down and dump chippings on top, then leave it to the traffic to roll the chippings in. The concession to health and safety is a 20mph speed limit and a warning your windscreen may get smashed.

Makes a real mess of your bike. :(

Here, when near the water, we have to watch for sand blown on to the road, makes it pretty slippery.

Bill….. Tempted to ride in a Tee shirt and shorts! Never did. Great weekend, with a good bunch of older guys that still love to ride! The first bike belongs to the safety yellow jacket closest to it. He bought it new, +40 years ago!

Thanks guys. We had a blast. We rarely get time together (he has three kids and we’re always a noisy bunch) so using the helmet communicators, we pretty much covered it all!
