They are made out of square stock aluminum. The same stuff they use for the large awnings you see on store fronts.
The whole idea behind this bike, was to make something I,(or you), had never seen before.
It is made like the first motorcycles were made, before catalogs, store bought crap or even chrome!

Nice looking bike. Do you have the stock headlight mount?

The original headlight mount was bent beyond repair.  I've got the light bucket but no frame.

What's on it now?  Mine has what looked like a chrome utility spotlight on it.  I got a used CB light off eBay.

The arms for the turn signals were bent up so i cut them down and remounted the turns closer to the headlight.  I used a larger headlight off a 750 and made new mounting 'ears".  The original headlight shell has a big chunk missing at the top of the rim and I didn't want to use it.

First nice day without sodding rain in 2 weeks so got out and about, such a nice day to stop and take photos even if I only have my trusty cellphone cam.
Top shot is with the Napier yatch harbour in background, just below my bike is the ramp where I launch my boat.
Other 2 photos are along the Marine Parade, check out our weather. ;D

I'm in the same situation.  I got a 7" CB shell and light off eBay a while back and am trying to come up with some decent brackets for it.

A ride through horse country was on today's agenda. These photos were taken about 20 miles outside of Louisville, Kentucky.

I will probably never understand the fascination/attraction/reason with or for setting a motorbike on fire or pinning the throttle to let the engine blow up etc.  I don't feel good when I watch that.

This is probably a comment for which I shouldn't hit the "post" button.

No deal. I don't have to worry about snow for another 6 months. And yes, today was a beautiful day to be riding here. The only problem was sun in my eyes...if that could be called a problem.

Up in Northern Wisconsin (near Cyclexchange... and yes I did stop in on Ken), I rode the twisty roads near St Germain with my brothers.  Awesome riding.  I noted that Heffay used a "helmet cam" in a previous thread... I really regret not doing that.  I want to remember these rides :)  These pictures do not do the ride justice.  Word to the wise... Don't ride at dusk in Northern Wisconsin - no mishaps but encountered several deer.... proceeded much more slowly..

Brother Mike with the bikes at the dam:

Over my shoulder - yikes, did I do that?
