it does flow well.....
       but i think its boring.....
i think it looks exactly the way you would expect it to look........like a dumbed down occ creation.......just a super basic chopper style bike meant to appeal to the greatest number of people.........a guy that was really into choppers wouldn't be caught dead on that bike
i dont know what their selling them for but i would be suprised if they werent dirt cheap

whenever i see a guy on one of those "custom" chopper mill bikes, all chromed out with a crazy paint job i always want to pull up next to them at a light and say "HEY, thats an awesome bike, did you build it yourself?
i could never imagine riding something like that unless i actually built it.....but then it would have hardly any chrome on it and it would be a honda sohc4........weird
but id buy one of these!!!http://www.caferace.com/supermanx2.jpg

As a funny aside...that's what happened to me today. I pulled up to an intersection, and an 18-wheeler pulled up on my right. I looked up and the driver shouted down to me, "Hey did you build that?" I told him that I had restored it, and he said it looked really cool. Then, he made the right on red without swinging out into me, and I thought that was cool.

Someone asked why ducati and triumph are the only ones cashing in on the retro styling.

I wouldn't say they are "cashing in"  they sell a limited number of bikes compared to the big guys.  kawasaki came aout with their retro bike and it didn't sell for sh!t.  The problem is that there are just not enough of "us" with enough cash to go buy a new bike.  If I had the spare money for a new bike, then the Ducati Sport Classic would be I my garage over any other "retro bike" or another Ducati Monster would be nice.  I like the 919 but the Monster is WAY sexier.

Oh and I've ridden my brothers bike enough to know metric cruisers just aren't my bag. He also agrees but due to financial reasons he rides this.....

You've discounted an entire category of motorcycles based on a sample size of one?

My two favorites were DISRUPTION!
wtf does disruption have to do with it?
and second was CUSTOM CHOPPER! design
Its not a custom chopper just designed after one? Which one? and who customized that tank, some dude reliving the 70's. They may as well have put a coffin tank or one of those diamond shaped ones.

That bike was designed by Jesse James, Being as it an extreemly low production bike offered only online(they will not be stocked in dealerships) i would say its a semi custom for sure. No one can knock honda for doing what it has to do to keep there stock up. as of right now there one of VERY FEW manufacturers thats not asking for money in the bailout an there doing that by offering products that will sell and cutting costs(including all of there factory racing both auto and moto if ur gunna be mad be mad about that). I will be the first to say that if the 1100f hit the streets in america i would buy one the second they hit but in the grand scheme of things the demographic that the 1100 apeals to isnt large or well funded. The fury on the other hand will sell every unit made because alot of new riders would love the looks of a chopper-esq bike but with the reliability and comfort of a honda.  IMO it was a great move by a great company and i like the bike for what it, a pretty cool etry level custom

First, we need to fully qualify the assumptions and parameters...ooops...wrong thread. Anyhoo, there are two separate issues here: the first is the bike itself, and the second is the lame marketing effort Honda is making. I think we can all agree that the commercial is aggressively lame. In my own case, I found the commercial so offensive that I didn't want to know anything more about the bike.

Carry on.

that was my take on it as well ... the bike itself is not bad , if you like the chopper style. and i know the VTX motor sittin' in it is a beast.

and i don't get all the comments about the tank, i think that's the best part

the best part about riding a motorcycle is we get to bring our own personality and style to our rides. I could care less if someone likes my cafe bike, its mine and noone elses. and while im not a huge fan of the bagger craze i respect them and there bikes for the effort and time they invest in there rides, point is we dont have to like or even understand the fury(or anyother bike thats not one of ours) but we should respect it and its future owners out of if nothing else the brotherhood.

Nuthin wrong with the tank..

Nuthin wrong with the frame...

Does the tank work good with that frame.. NO, it does not, it takes something away from it.

note, you cannot tell this in the pics, last page. I have seen a few roadtests with pics at other angles, plus saw the bike in real life in Jan.

in bikes as in engine building, it is not always the sum of the parts  that makes it a success, but rather how the parts fit together & work with each other....JMO..

You you all saw the Ad for the chopper. In today's market which image do you think would sell. It is all about braning for the times you are doing business in. Today the Dentists and CPAs want to be badasses on their bikes.

They put reflectors on the rear fender and front forks.

WHAT KIND OF BADASS CHOPPER HAS REFLECTORS?

I mean come on, seriously.  Bicycles and scooters have reflectors.

Apparently the Fury is only unleashed so long as it's in a fenced in yard.

The HD Rocker has reflectors on the forks and swingarm. I imagine the fury is competing with this bike. Is anyone else making a "chopper" bike?
