Thanks for all the replies so far. Good stuff.Quote from: mlinder on June 25, 2009, 11:55:49 AMI don't think I own a bike that couldn't beat a Heritage in every way imaginable. And none of mine are newer than 78. And none bigger than a 750.... I mean, they run 14's or something....True true. But I would also be racing his memories, and you know how in memories things happen more like how you wanted them to happen, and not so much as how they really did happen.Quote from: tsflstb on June 25, 2009, 11:50:51 AMCheck the insurance rates and get back to us. Are they pretty high? Like how high? Quote from: tsflstb on June 25, 2009, 11:50:51 AMI think anything with 70+ horsepower will outpace your dad's bike. 'Outpace' is not good enough. I want him to ride it and be absolutely amazed at the speed and power. I want him, when he's talking to 'so and so,' to tell them about my "hot bike."

Dude, for the price of a used, like 6 - 7 k you can blow 4 - 3 more and get new, might as well then you know some arse wasn't out tearing it to crap and not keeping it on the up and up.

For the price of used you can get new except for more?Cave, I'm going to post an opinion over in the opinion thread...
You can cram it. Wait, which thread am I in...
Just buy an old GS1000 or some crap. I mean, damnit, any 'fast' bike from the last, oh, 30 years or so, will absolutely shame the heritage. Seriously.
