did you just hack up a stock loom to make yours??  build looks good!  i'm interested about the diff the CR's make as well!!  i need to re-do my wiring, i'm strongly considering buying a yamiya harness and modifying it to work with my electrics under the seat hump...

this is all new totally starting from scratch making the lights so they can be taken off easy, no key all fresh new s#!t  !!! Ya I cant wait to see what the CR's do.

Do you know if the exhaust on the bike is stock?  I've got something similar looking on my '78k and I can't tell wether it's stock or aftermarket.  Thanks.

the exhaust is a "Mac" bought at Bent Bike north of Seattle it is aftermarket this bike never had her OG pipes, they run great and everyone asks me about them, I love how they sound ... other companies make them too Kerker,ect.ect. but these I think look super cool and I dont see em around much, at least not these exact ones.
the stock pipes and cans went 4 into 4 I believe, and very tough to find a bike with a clean set on her nowadays

I've been debating on trying to save the stock wiring on my 78 or start from scratch as mine looks as bad as yours did.

no key??  do you just have an ignition switch and a starter button?  where'd you get the wire for your harness since it's all new?  i saw that fuse block from centech wiring and checked out their site.  they offer chopper wiring harnesses for $99 and a full motorcycle harness for $199, and i believe they'll make it for your bike rather than a generic kit.

yes I will have a switch for the power and another switch to turn all the lights on, as for the wires the guy has all the stuff he just gets it from any autoparts store since he does it all the time he already had a the stuff right there and ready. I hope he is done by next week

If you learn anything you need share....I just picked up another 78 750k with a spaghetti wiring harness.  I am not looking forward to it.....

i re-made my harness now it works flawless... no need to custom wire nothing..

I am not going for the stock, if I was I'd be done already and have lots more money. I want to be able to turn on the power to the bike and not have the headlight come on draining the battery, I want to be able to quickly and easily detach all the lights for a track day or troubleshooting ... after almost 10 years riding with it "stock" I'm over stock I am looking for easy,fast,modernized comfortablility

Where are the pics ? So the seat isn't a bolt on ? Which one is it ? How about a base made from plexi ? I have some 1/4 " stuff that seems sturdy enough.
 I thought about you when I took mine out a bit ago , way too loud with the new pipe, sets off car alarms and kills small animals !
What jets do you have ?

I've started messing around with aluminum a bit.  I'm remaking my custom oil tank out of aluminum this weekend.  Depending on what you need, I may be able to help out.  Here in this pic, you can just see the centerstand stop I made from aluminum to keep the stand from resting against my chain.  Got it running this past weekend, btw -- loud as f@#k!

ya the website says it bolts right on but thats, 6u11.5h!t. Its the one on Carpy's site "vincent cafe style" I wanna make it so I hook it on to the stock hinges and lock it with the lock so I can stash stuff on underside and lock it.
And I wanna make a rack over the tail so I can put stuff  and let my fat ass stripper girlfriends sit on the back without there big ol asses breaking up the fiberglass when I hit bumps with some of 'em its a lot of ass I need to protect against.
Thats why I am considering SS over AL
