Dyna Beads thread locked up Now lets all fight over motor oil

I'll go first, Castrol is far superior to any other oil you can run in a SOHC engine.

The dynabeads thread had gotten back to mostly nice and amicable, but was completely $#!+ted up by a few for no real reason.
Expect this thread ot get closed soon, too. Open forum would probably be a better place for this :)

I don't care who you think you are. Or what you think you are referring to.

That was a blatant unprovoked attack in an unrelated thread. You, sir, are an ass.

And to think I agreed with you in the other thread about Charlie. I feel so dirty. :D

The dynabead thread has now turned to the liars and fools agreeing the dynabeads work, and you particularly, are pretending you'll figure out why, thanks to ME.

So even with all your lying insults and whining, I converted your idiot ass.

Congratulations.  ;D

The annoyance you bring is beginning to overshadow the entertainment you bring.
In any case, I AM trying to figure out if they work, and if they do, why. However, not much of anything you said has anything to do with it. At all.
If, however, you need to make crap up to pat yourself on the back because no one else will, I don't mind being the vehicle for your masturbatory, delusional self aggrandizement. So yes, thanks to you, the world is a better place, and you've saved the world from certain destruction! We should write a story about it. Be shelved right next to L Ron Hubbards books, I reckon :)

In any case, I think the dynabeads thread was still good for some excellent thinking excercises, sans 20 pictures of poop, of course.

Mowing the yard is more fun if you drink while you do it. If your on a rider strap the cooler on and go. If your push mowing get you one of those six pack hats that holds 6 beers and has the drinking tubes. Make mowing more interesting and your neighbors get a good laugh to.

Doesn't matter what viscosity or brand of oil you use as long you remember to mix in a single drop of your blood during your next oilchange.  Then, you and your bike will be bonded forever as Blood Brothers.  It will then also never let you down or leave you stranded or hanging or whatnot.  It will always be there for you.

I might have actualley mixed a little blood in mine the other day, as I had a bleeding finger when I changed my oil and it one of small wounds that just won't stop bleeding. So maybe I'll be blessed with a loyal bike forever. But on a more serious note, is it better to run 20/50 in warmer temps and 10/40 in cooler?

I'd say so. My book calls for 10W40 year round, and 20W in temps from 32 to 60. 10W below 32*.

I've always ran just 10/40 but kinda wondered about the 20/50 because I've noticed in really hot weather when I change the oil the 10/40 looks mighty thin.

It breaks down fairly quickly. You will have more oil pressure and less flow with the thicker oil. Just saying.

Wasn't too much warmer than that up here. At the time, I was using 20W50, and that morning in Sequoia National Forest, I had to use my camp stove to warm up the oil pan enough to get the oil thin enough to get the starter to turn over. For a while, I thought I was going to be stranded there.

I do, but then I've never claimed to be in my right mind. ;D

If you have the right gear and heated hand grips, cold is no roadblock.  So far the lowest temp I've ridden in was about -5F.  Luckily work is only about 5 miles away.  My nose almost froze off of my face.

I use gas soaked oil from #3 and #4 misfires, so my crankcase is sparkling clean.
