After reading the k0/k1 seat fitment question I checked mine and it's as bad as the one in question. When it closes the seat really has to be pushed down, causes may be cheap seat, hinges bent down, short hinges, tall rubber pads, if I loosen the bolts a full turn it all eases up. It may be denting in the lower part of the tank also, this must be remedied before the wrinkle tank comes back from paint.
I've been watching DSS for the better quality seats to return to stock.
The OP in the tech question said he has the better quality DSS seat, hmmm,
