so would riding it 14km's on 2 cylinders be bad...lol... otherwise i have no way of getting home...

inquiring minds neeeeeed to know...lol

peace
Don't know if this is still an issue, but...
IMO in a pinch you can ride it on 2 cylinders. What will happen is the unburnt gas in the other 2 cylinders will wash down the cylinders, reducing the lubrication in those cylinders/pistons, and pollute the oil.

So you'll need to change oil ASAP.

GRRR!

Strike one USA parts supplier off the list! They were quick to get back to me to tell me 'sorry' but the only service they use is FedEx so it would cost me $73 delivery for $60 in parts.

Does anyone out there know a Honda parts supplier who will have carb kits and who uses USPS Global for delivery?

I've found David Silver to be quite reasonable. They send padded bag by normal mail.
Can you find what you need here? http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/CB750F2-(Single-overhead-cam)/

Cheers.

You could also try Sirius - http://www.siriusconinc.com/  They will mail them if you request it.

Thanks Frostyboy and Tintop - the kits from Sirius are dearer as they have more parts in them (never hurts to have more parts than you need), but the postage is way less - so all up I would save if I went that way.

David Silver is out of stock.

cheers,

Started polishing up my good fork leg. Hit it with 320, 400, and 600. It's still dull but a million times better than what it was. Will finish it with 800, 1500, and 2000 tomorrow, because my hand is killing me. Polishing by hand suuuuuucks.

I stared at it intently wondering what to do about pod filters, painting the seat/cowl, tank and headlight bucket, where to get a set of decent laced wheels and lastly where to get a good set of period correct tires.

I did the same thing on Tuesday. Started her up and rode around the backyard for a mile.  The ground was frozen and i am fighting heavy cold but it still felt jolly good.

Finished polishing up the fork. It didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. But what do you expect for only being able to go up to 1500g and using dried up aluminum polish :<

Well I fired up one of 2 -1972 750's a week or so ago that I had bought recently and that I posted here about and moved on now to the 2nd one.Was hoping to get lucky again. The first one went well and looks good, still has original paint etc but this one is called Krusty.Would make a good candidate for a cafe or other project.
The price was very low and has a few extra goodies.Drag Specialties pipes, double disc brakes up front, Dyna ignition that looks pretty old though ,had an oil cooler I sold, allen bolt kit, maybe a heavy clutch pack, pretty stiff and hopefully more tucked in there.  This bike is one that I posted a carb fix about that used a 45 ACP cartridge in the carb as a Ghetto fix.  Note the cool bolt in the stator cover,WTH is that about ?? Anyway did the major tune up thing, hooked it to a slave tank and when I thumbed the starter button she instantly sprang to life again. Whew, you just never know. Ran quite well, hitting good on all four.Time to put it all back together.
Next will be a K5 that I am not having a very good feeling about, Carbs may be trash and engine has a sound when hand cranking. May be in the parts section soon----- ;)

That would be your 'other warehouse' then?

I keep losing track as I count bikes in the first picture - I need to show it to my wife, just to scare her.

Thats my back room at the shop or the 'cold' storage. Pic is kinda crappy but there are some Kaw and Suzuki triples,RD350,some CB750's,900SS and other goodies kicking around in there. Luckily my wife doesn't stop down to often to look around, better that way.  ;D
