Take the bowl off and remove the main jet. In the bore (throat) of the carb, you can see it sticking out at the bottom. Press down on that with a flat-blade, be sure not to damage it. Should pop right out.

Thought that I would easily replace the bushings that support the lower shock mounts. They are an amazingly tight fit into the swingarm. Fortunately, my neighbor, a machinist, bailed me out.

I meant to post this on today, but its actually 2 days later...

swapped rear axle bearings on the 83 ATC 250R (three wheeler).  10lb sledge was required to get the axle out of the swingarm!  She rolls so much better now, and no side to side sway!  :D ...

I laced up my new Sumoto rims with my new ebay spokes, and the old hubs I cleaned up. Yup, I did it wrong the first time and had to take it all apart and start over. I should have read the FAQ about lacing, but I thought I was smarter than that.

Thanks. I have 7 rims in my little greenhouse/shop. I finally had to buy new ones. I guess it's about time for someone to pay me a visit and take back some parts... ;D

I too laced up a wheel today. The only mistake I made was getting one outer mixed up with the inners. Oops.
Fortunately I wasn't too far into doing the inners when I noticed it.
I read the FAQ. ;)

I took mine to buy some saddle bags then returned the saddle bags home then took her our for a 130k country road ride loved every minute of it. When I got home I had dinner then installed my saddle bags there so so but I need something to carry stuff in. Then I put the cover on her and weather permitting she will go out for at least 40k tommorow after work.
Ride for fun.

Soda blasted my carbs (022A) couldnt figure out how to get the emulsution tubes out. Some posted something on here but i guess it was for a diff carb bc it didnt work. Installed new mains (125). My pilots are trash going to order new ones tonight. Forgot to take pics but it cleaned them up decent. Clean and swept/organized my workshop and put the bike back in. A goood productive day. With my soon to be 3yr old helping all day.

Go to your local chinese food place and P/U a pair of chop sticks.  The emulsion tube is the part the needle sits / slides in.  With the slide & needle removed place the end of the chop stick (from top) on the tube and lightly tap.  Do not use anything hard (like steel) or you will damage the brass emulsion tube.

Been on this rebuild for 3 months now.
Spent all day getting wiring working after the rebuilt motor went back into the frame 2 weeks back. Still waiting to start it up for the 1st time. Getting nervous.
Wasted hours on the starter/kill circuits...finally working....onto the lights..damn..couldn't get them for ages either. Sorted now. All go electrically except for the mess of jumpers I used to faultfind...now too tired to finish it off.
One day..soon.

Looking good Mark, and I wish I had your patience, my longest restoration (ground up rebuild on a K2) took maybe 8 weeks including a complete engine rebuild? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

All too familiar looking and sounding. I just spent a good chunk of the day doing the same thing to mine...

Fished out the breadbox parts out of the pail of evapo rust, worked pretty well. Finished it off in white vinegar, which I like more for de-rusting. Made a support rack a set of carbs can be bolted to, have to adjust my float levels and get things ready to try the breadbox out as soon as new jets get ordered.
