Yeah could be the pamco only has 400mi on it. He thinks it's carbs but I think it's electrical. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkDo you have any rust in your tank mate? Could be that rust had clogged your filter, then when you installed the new fuel line it sent rust particles into your carbs? I love my old bikes, but they occasionally piss me off, and that's when my modern bike is just so good. Cheers, Terry.
Bought a couple! Both have only 10K miles. '75 550F, has new perfect paint. '77 550F, has original paint [thanks to Tews]
Well I just heard from the shop. First the floats were set wrong and two of my exhaust valves were nearly closed. Since he had the carbs off he soda blasted them and completely cleaned them and now the bike is running great. My compression is a little low 135/133/136/131 but hey the bike is 38 years old. Now my problem is this. I'm sure he set the floats when I had the bike in there for him to do the wiring harness and get the bike ready for inspection. I'm also sure he did a valve adjust at the same time. I'm looking everywhere for the receipt from when that happened to check but can't seem to find it. He claims he didn't do any of the above. Secondly I'm really baffled as to how this suddenly became an issue. I've put 400mi on the bike and never touched the floats or adjusted the valves..how do valves suddenly get tight and how do floats go from allowing enough fuel in the bowls to not allowing enough fuel in the bowls. There is a part of me that thinks he found something he did wrong when he had the bike the first time and is covering his tracks.
