Nothing in regards to my cb, I did talk to the bank about a line of credit. Got my eye on a gently used cbr600rr locally though. Once I sit down with my financial advisor I'm going sport bike shopping!

No pics yet Steve , Yoshimura rearsets, a really nice oil cooler {these first 2 go away for the 3rd bike, the 1000cc injected one}, foot pegs and mounts, a very clean early airbox, rear wheel spacers, a nice clean hand control, dash and wiring, coil mounts, inner guard, long oil filter bolt for oil cooler conversion and some more wiring bits.... All these parts are for the 900cc K2, which isn't far off being built, just a few more little things to get sorted and its full steam ahead......slowly.... ;D ;)

Which cooler did you go with?   :)

-No progress on my build, but we did get another foot of snow to shovel!  :P

I have a few mate, 2 NOS black  Lockhart coolers and the new one looks like its an Italian made SPA oil cooler, its a little bigger than the Lockhart coolers so i'll have to do some research before using it...   If you can find a Lockhart they are almost the perfect size... ;)

Not the best pics but this is the Lockhart

Pulled the fork apart on the K4 and ordered Progressive springs...

What are you gonna do with those pitted chrome plating stevo?

Send em to you?  I have polished lowers on the shelf...

send them to me and i'll do some experiments for you.  i know you don't like to polish, me neither, but read that you can let them sit in Cola and chrome should clean off.  worth a try.

Best of luck with that mate, the only way you'll remove old chrome is to take it to a plater and have the process reversed, or take it to a blaster and have it blasted off. The first option is the best though, a lot less aggressive than blasting. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Picked up refaced valves, cleaned up the crank to take in for micro polishing. Struggling to get the clutch basket off of the primary sprockets...

I have been out on the roads around here but you have to be on extreme pothole watch, it totally ruins the ride. After the last 3 weeks of storms the potholes would mean there is no riding that out, you are going down hard.

You're a braver man than me mate, snow, ice, extreme potholes, that'd kill my desire to ride, I reckon! ;D

I went out on the 750 Sunday afternoon, roads were 99% dry, snow was on the sides of the road where I do not ride, and the temp was just right for armored jeans and leather coat.   Did not reach for the TON, but 80% of a TON was seen for a few miles.

Some must not know why so many left New York for North Carolina.

I rode my 750 on sunday, after the ride sat next to it in the sun, and noticed some moisture around the engine where the head and cylinders join.

First time I noticed that.
If it ain't raining, I'm riding.....~~{iii}?~~prost

If it sounds like I know what I'm talking about, it's because I cut and pasted from someone else.

The weather was great yesterday. Sunny about 60+. The snow and ice were in piles not close to the riding area. Nothing scary about it.

Took mine out yesterday.  Temperature above 40 and roads ice free.  Did 80 miles in complete comfort with the Windjammer and lowers.  Got home and pulled the lowers off to re-do how they were mounted.  Found oil all over the top of the top fins on the right side of the engine.  Valve cover gasket failure maybe??  Will be checking that out when it warms up again.  Snowing outside again!  Riding season is short enough up here so I ride whenever roads are ice free!!

The fuse looked too good to blame, but tested bad when I arrived at work.  That fuse cost me $50 in towing :(
