My carb rebuild kits arrived for the CB650 Sunday, so I went through and rebuilt them.  Got everything back together and bolted them back on.  Ran like a champ!  Anyway, Monday morning I woke up with the sudden realization I didn't remember putting the accelerator pump o-ring back in.  So tonight I pulled the carbs again, dropped the #2 bowl, and sure enough, no o-ring.  Put a new one from the kit in, bolted everything back together, and went for a little 10-mile ride.  Ran beautifully!

Nancy and I went for a long ride with Cory on the CB550 on Mother's day.  Rode almost 250 miles round trip over to visit my Grandma in Marysville, Michigan.  On it's longest ride to date, the 550 performed flawlessly.

I put another coat of paint on the master cylinder to the CB650.  I also did my punch list on the KZ 750.  The list was:

Clean air box
 Install new K&N air filter
Redo the 2 remaining original electrical connections under the seat
 Replace plug wires
Redo electrical connections into the coils
Replace the two slightly hardened carb boots(this is on hold until I find the boots,  I think they were stolen off of my porch)
Clean bike up and make it presentable

Once I got the list done I put her in  the freight elevator and got it out onto ground level with the help of my buddy Doug Oconnor and a truck lift gate.  I rode to the gas station (with the petcock set to prime) and filled her up.  I rode out that tanks of gas and half of another one before I was just too tired to ride anymore.

Took advantage of a beautiful sunny day in Chicago and the ability to work from home. Got out for a ~20 mile ride in the morning. Started fitting the windshield that I borrowed from my buddy to use during the relay ride.

...found out that something is very wrong with my K2, all plugs are "back in black"  :o

Hey I thought my bike was the "back in black" one?  Good luck with that though doesn't sound real good.

well... two blocks into my morning commute I noticed the 650 headlight was out hi and lo beam .  so I turned around and went home for the 550.  Rolled it out of the garage and low and behold the front tire was flat.  Good morning to you too!

Well, as my motto states, "If it ain't raining, I' riding."

I ride every day that rain is not called for. However, it has not been on any of the Hondas yet, but gettin closer.

Soon as I can find a half way decent 4-2 exhaust that will not cost and arm&leg for my 74 350F.
She'll be insured and tagged and on the road.

The 750k5 on the other hand seems its going to be a long time coming.

Rode the 650 in this morning - 15 miles one way.  Was a frigid 28F.  I thought summer was supposed to be here already?!?!?!

Other than that, last night the air box chrome finally showed up.  Extremely easy to install and really ties the bike together!  I'm going to post pics later.  :-D

installed a new horn and started to install the windscreen I got from a friend for free. The horn is permanent, the windscreen is temporary to provide some highway relief for relay miles this weekend and next week.

Plannin on selling my Virago soon, so I pulled the back wheel with the bald tire off, put my other 50% wheel/tire on along with a better set of brakes from my parts bike, broke off the bart and mounted a brand new tire on the rim, ordered a new set of brakes so when I do get a "fish on.." I can swap the brand new stuff back on and sell it with a never been on the road tire and rear brake set, meanwhile I'm buffin out the spare brake plate and still ridin it... :)

The return spring for the rear brake was fubar so I stretched out a spare tremelo spring for a guitar and clipped off the ends

I've been wanting rearsets for a long time and finally splurged on a set of Tarozzi's.  Can't wait to try them out on the road.

Pulled the 550 out of short term storage, (lasted two years lol) checked the fluids and hooked up booster cables to see if she would start.  Fired right up as if she was just ridden yesterday.  I will be putting her back into storage but will prep her for long term this time.
