I've seen helmets set down next to bikes, dropped shiny side up on the pavement, hanging from hand grips, hanging from foot pegs, tossed onto a short sissy bar, hung over a mirror, even hung from stock helmet holders.

I usually hang mine on the right hand mirror, or set it down on top of my jacket.

What's your style?

I have a tall sissy bar so I just plop it on top. Stays put that way. Everything else I tried failed.

I hang mine on the little helmet hook under the seat.
Makes it a little less easy to walk off with.

foot peg. With bar end mirrors, handle bars aren't an option ;)

I set it on the mirror then strap it around the handlebar cos I don't want it to tumble on to the gas tank.

Short break, in sight of the bike, I place it over the taillight.

If I am leaving the bike I use the helmet lock under the seat.

I hang it on the sissybar. I think because there are so few riders around here
people probably think it is part of the bike.  ;D

If I've got my tail bag and it's empty, I'll hide it in there. If not, I just hang it from the throttle grip.

CANT BELIEVE.. no one mentioned this..

On your kicker............... cant fall, cant hurt anything..

Also use, mirror, sissy bar, sometimes fasten strap and hang from the handlebar... or just set it on the ground..hole -up... no paint left on top..

Same here.  Except the K1 doesn't have a stock helmet lock, so I use the after market lock on the handlebar.

  • What a Long strange trip it's been
I take it with me so I have something to sit on while settin under the shade tree, keeps the rear off the wet grass, while I peruse nature, have a smoke and drink a cup o joe. Then it's back to ridin and I still have a helmet.

Doesn't that make your shirt collar wet when you ride the next leg?

  • Well than...
I ride with a full face helmet, so typically I'll cock the bars left, than hang it from the right handgrip.
That's what I'd like to hear.

What I dont like about putting it on a mirror or the handlebar.. it can easily get bumped off.. I an using an open face helmet.

With chinstrap done up and hung over the bar near inner end of grip its pretty safe, but may scratch sometjing if it gets bumped.. think K0 headlite ears..

But I f I am worried about someone bumping it, it wont damage much if it sits on the kicker..

I doubt I would use the kicker. Too close to a hot engine for my taste.

Don't have a special place to hang it, but I do like to place it out of the sun when it is not in use.
Nothing like putting your head in a solar heated bucket!
Sometimes that is on a foot beg or just on the ground next to the bike,(depending what I am parked on).
