I thought some might like pictures before the bike gets taken apart for final welding, painting and plating?

Some of you may be intersted in the supercharger set-up? It's an "Aisen" AMR500. The blower pumps 500cc of air per revolution. I'm running 1:1 ratio (crankshaft speed) which should give me around 6psi boost? This blower is found on many smaller Japanese cars not available in America. This one came from a 600cc engine. I bought it through "Japan-auction"..similar to our "Ebay."

I used a little external alternator to keep up with the added electronic fuel injection load so I took the blower drive off of the the engines alternator end. I went with 1"wide timing belts. First drive is from the old alternator rotor up to a jackshaft. This jackshaft is adjustable for belt tensioning. From the jackshaft their is a double sided belt which is tensioned with the little alternator.

The air is pulled from the bottom of the blower. Not the best to be pulling in warm air, but....!!Their is a little flat filter on the intake. These blowers will work in CW or CCW rotation. Here's a couple of plenum pictures.

Some might be interested in the fuel injection end of things. The throttle bodies are from a Suzuki GSXR600. "Microsquirt" is going to control things. The "oil tank" you see is acctually a second gas tank that holds the Suzuki fuel pump.

I'm going to "try!" COP (coil on spark plug) on this build. The "Microsquirt has 2 built-in ignition drivers,but a lot of extra #$%* is required to fire 4 separate coils. From talking with Gary with "Power-Arc" I should be able to use the system from Ken with "Cycle-ex". By keeping the ignition wiring away from the ECM I shouldn't have any generated "noise", which can be a real problem in the tight confinds of a motorcycle. The coils are commonly used on larger displacement Fords. They are 1.5 ohms.

The oil cooler set-up is derived from different Honds!. I can't remember what and where!!LOL

Their is a #$%*load of wiring, relays, etc, on this build. I need a big wiring box. The access covers are from a CX500.

I won't bore you with the frame stuff (you've seen one, you've seen them all!) I will show you my set-up for controling the rear drum brake with hydraulics. This would work fine for someone with disabilities? I'm using a Harley clutch master cylinder on the handlebars to activate a "pull" type of hydraulic cylinder.

Wowzers, this is nuts! Can you post up some video when you get this beast running? It's an automatic too? I'd almsot kill for that motor in my bike, sans the auto tranny. Great stuff!

Nice:) Let me know how the EFI turns out:) Are using the gsxr throttle boddies and microsquirt for my build. But have not come to the weiring yet.. Have you had it running?

I raced home to check out the pics, and I'm not disappointed, what a beast! I'd love to see the looks on the pilots of modern sports bikes when you light the wick on that thing! Beautiful engineering too mate, well done!

Traveler: The automatics didn't have separate oil tanks...just a bigger oil pan and the torque convertor itself holds a lot of oil.

Thanks mgbg: The wheels are off a 1983 Honda CB750SC. Sandblasted and black wrinkle powdercoated them. I'm a Heavy Duty Mechanic and Millwright, in addition to being addicted to any old 4 cylinder Honda!

Good thing you will be staying at 6 Psi boost. Without an intercooler, you would have to run race gas or retarded timing with any more boost! The EFI is what's going to make it really work well. I have an injected and supercharged mustang...they work well together!

with that tiny coffin tank, and what's behind a twist of the throttle, what do you think you'll get, 1, maybe 2 gas stations to the mile??

Thanks again, fellows. Bikes all apart now. All the tabs and brackets have been welded. I just got to clean up a couple of welds, get the frame sandblasted, drill a few holes for wiring, then off to the powdercoaters. I sent the stuff out today that gets the chrome treatment....yeh!, I know...chrome don't get you home!!!!LOL. Acctually this is the first bike I've built that I am getting anything chromed! A lot of the stuff on my other bikes that came chrome were sandblasted and powdercoated. A bit of chrome looks good...a lot of chrome ...not my style.

Octalz: Apparently the torque convertor in the SOHC 750 is the same as the Honda Civic. If the convertor can last in a car at 4 or 5 times the wieght, it should last in a motorcycle? I believe a lot of drag racers were using the 750 Automatics back "in the days." I'm not sure why the Automatics were de-tuned.....maybe for smoother idling due to the torque convertor holding thing? They also have less of a compression ratio than standard clutch and gear models.....perfect for "huffing!"

Wannabridin: The prism tank holds about 2 1/2 gallons and the auxillary tank (with the fuel pump) holds another gallon. The "miles per gallon" or "kilometers per liter" (or is it kilometers per 100 liters?) will depend on how I set-up the fuel to air mixture. If I set it close to stoicometric, it will most definatly go further than a similar carburated engine, but will be lacking the engines full potential. A small high reving 750cc likes to be on the "rich" side for starting and idling, but pulls the most power at higher RPM''s and a bit on the lean side.....PS...I hate LEAN.....tends to ruin engines!!!LOL
