Guess which answer means you are not a fucking asshole?

I never drink and drive and stop my friends from doing it.
I, like most of my friends,  only have one or two and gauge my driving and sobriety accordingly
I only get drunk and drive occasionally
I do it all the time but I drive real safe and slow to avoid any hassles
I get wasted and drive fast and recklessly under the delusion that I'm a rebel.

ive been on several rides, and noticed mainly with "clubs" the whole drinking and riding is the cooooool thing to do. no one should be driving or riding under the influence of anything. i would see too many of the guys im riding with acting stupid, or just not having the greatest balance or control even after one or two beers. why even take the chance? it doesnt make you look like billy bad ass to walk into someplace and order a drink with your helmet on the seat next to you. we should all start switching plug wires around on the douche bags who come into places to get hammered.

not to be terribly off topic, but after driving 1000 miles down to florida from chicago my girlfriend and i went on a weeklong vacation.
our second night there we got hit by a drunk driver doing 80+ in a 40.

i was driving and was unhurt, but sami got her noggin bashed pretty good by the windshield glass and got all cut up.
after we got back home she got another fit, same color and everything. it straight up saved our lives, not to mention the annoying seat belt beep that made me actually buckle up that night.

Wake up, look up, there's a warmth up there
a reminder of peace, a reason to care.

It's difficult to believe that anyone would be so stupid as to consume alcohol and operate a motorcycle.
To survive on a bike, one needs all their faculties to avoid being mashed by other irresponsible individuals operating vehicles.  Purposely impairing yourself before riding is tantamount to just putting one round in the revolver, and peering down the barrel.

One - reaction time is impeded.  So, after you decide to do evasive maneuvers, you continue to travel a greater distance into the threat situation.

Two - your processing time in also increased.  So, there is extra delay before you even recognize a threat situation, again bringing you closer to and injurious situation.

Three - If you are multi-tasking, alcohol can make you skip tasks altogether.  It is indiscriminate which tasks it drops and most frequently drops or delays a new task being added.  Further, the more tasks you are juggling, the more tasks get missed.

You are not superhuman and cannot override any one or all of the above which occurs when alcohol in in your system.  It is part of human physiology, completely separate from conscious or intended thought processes.  You cannot think yourself into a sober state of mind, even if you imagine yourself a good actor.

You are gambling that no personal threat will occur after alcohol consumption.  Or, that other people will take your personal safety more seriously than you do yourself.  How many times in a row can you roll a 6?

At least when driving a car, when you blow it regarding proper operation, there is some protection from your own ineptness and you only threaten others, like those riding motorcycles while under the influence.

And don't fool yourself.  Just because your don't "feel it", in no way means you are not impaired.

I do drink.  But, not before or during operating machinery.

Had an alcoholic sister who used to drink drive as if it was all a big joke. Wrote off 3 cars in her lifetime. Luckily no-one else was ever involved and somehow she just kept on getting away with it. Until 11 she got picked up by some gentlemen from the Sussex Constabulary whilst under the influence and trying to do a 1,035 point turn. She spent a night in the slammer and had her licence revoked for 30 months. I never spoke to her again I was so disgusted with her behaviour.
When I'm riding I have enough trouble concentrating on what's in front of me, behind me and next to me, and I'm pretty sure even 1 drink will quadruple the effort.
Anyone who drink/drives should be treated like a social pariah.

if i'm suspicious of someone driving drunk i stay BEHIND them, even if i have to slow down a bit.  learned that lesson from my dad's mistake

I thought the very same thing, I'd rather be behind an idiot where I can watch them than in front of them just waiting for them to rear end me.

I almost was run off the road by a drunk (i.e. trashed) girl in an SUV on a highway in Maine.  I followed her for a few miles, watching her swerve from the left to right lane and the grass median.  She eventually pulled off the highway and stopped on the off-ramp for gods know what reason.  That's when I sprung into action.  I quickly got off the highway, pulled 100 yards in front of her so my license plate was out of view and SPRINTED back to her SUV.  I knocked on her window to 'ask if she needed help' and immediately reached into the car to grab the keys.  She was so drunk that she called her boyfriend and gave me the phone to talk to him!  I stuck around for a moment until the troopers arrived and then slipped off into the night, feeling a little safer but still shaken up a bit.

I didn't feel good about her getting in trouble, but I felt GREAT that no one was going to die because of how she was driving.

Yep.  Many classic bike guys swear by that book, but I was never that impressed.  Very preachy, very holier-than-thou, and he treated his kid like crap.  (Too bad about his kid in the end.)  And, yes, I remember well how much Mr. Perfect broke the bottle-to-throttle rule.

What I find "disturbing" is that more than half the poll voters here think alcohol mixed with motorcycles is perfectly acceptable.

I wait for the threat to stop and I pop the back tire driver side, my tomahawk is the least thing to be worrysome of from me. I am real calm about it and it only takes a second to disable the car. No longer a threat to me or anyone else. Is that too mean, too arsholish?
and yes I realize my abnormalities.

I want to know where you can stash a tomahawk on a SOHC4 so you can just grab it to whack someone's tire with? I don't have anywhere to stash my wet weather pants on my bike, much less a small axe? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I think it means that Spanny didn't use spellcheck before he hit the "Post" button, but also it's apparent that he doesn't think much of this thread. I think it's interesting, but what do I know? ;D

I can't vouch for him personally since I don't know him, but a quick look in his profile under previous posts shows exactly what you asked for.  A bike with pics.

So I guess you're good now.
