And now for the woman's perspective, ie "woman's logic"...
WTF? If my guy, the guy I loved and lived with really wanted the bike, I would have given it to him two years ago when he asked for it in the first place. But then who I am I to say? My guy is giving me a BMW... now that's love.
Thank you Coldright!
Cupcake, this is what we have been getting at but from hardened-from-the-years-of-experience-old-guys-that-know-better method of messing with you.
2 things I haven't mentioned. Is that a scheming conniving female way to say she wants windows (if she'd put the money to windows) but can't just say so in a male like "I'm getting windows" way (sorry Coldright if that implies anything-not intended) or perhaps she should give you half the proceeds for your efforts to increase the value of her bike?!
Yeah. I'd love to have a woman that was as selfless and Coldright. But then again, I get to be selfish, in my own way as well, so it kind of balances out.
The windows are part of the business plan that we have for this house we bought (with her $$ as down payment and my $$ for materials and my labor)
She has been starting her own business this year and up until this summer she had been doing consulting work. She has had a few run ins with being flat broke over the past few years and she's not cut out for it anymore. She's been down to her last dollar with two mouths to feed in the past and she has a thing against it now. I can't really blame her.
She's getting further away from bikes in general as she is a
former mechanic from a past life. In the time in the past year when she was struggling with $$ during the business start up, she decided to sell the her bikes. We don't have them all registered due to cost so they don't get ridden. They are her bikes for her to do with and she is completely within her rights to sell them. I just happened to replace an engine in the one I have my eye on and I can't get over the sound of the 4 into 4.
We have 8 bikes between both of us and four are registered (2 of hers, 2 of mine). Maybe I should let go of one of the sitting bikes?
In better news, I got my 750F project out on the road (illegally) today. I forgot how fast they really are until I was going 70 in a 25. (whoops) I may have to stick with that bike my only SOHC. Until I get my other engine put together.......
But to all of you old, jaded, crotchety men: Hold my place in line at the soup kitchen, please.
