Oh, goddamnit, I finally voted.  It wasn't easy, I didn't like doing it, and it was a miserable experience.  I voted totally against my norm, didn't vote for a bike that - on principle - I really, really wanted to.  I also didn't vote for a couple of other bikes that are, simply, some of my favorite bikes on here.  In the end, I voted for one that I never thought I would have, but I kept pausing on a few seconds longer than the others every time.

I envy all of these bikes.  I am glad the voting for me is over for this year.


Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go sit in the shower, clutching my knees to my chest and weeping.

OK. I'm trying to do my due diligence and re-read the build threads for my favorite BOTY candidates, but find it next to impossible to find the build threads for these fine machines.

I know Squirley’s and Paulages bikes quite well, but could use some help finding Godfrey’s and CB550Four’s build threads.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have to my recollection never mentioned who I vote for, but I'll say this time.  I vote for Kit.  The more I think about it, the more I think she's one of the most amazing people I know.  A winner in every sense of the word.

CCOErika and I enjoy riding two up.  Well, when I am the driver.  We rode two up with her driving on a snowmobile, she scared the P out of me but she handled it very well.   It was a very steep downhill grade and she did not tap the back brake, she held it down.  We switched and all was better.  I broke mine so I had to leave it out on the mountain.

Yes I must say a wide variety of choices and tastes, congratulations to the one that comes out on top.  Now for a shamless pitch, but I feel this is a much better pic....

As most of the bikes in this competition are the ones I voted for through out the year, it's clear to see that I have a taste for stockers, cafes and racers. Bobbers and chops don't really flip my wig.
I think the May BOTM was probably one of the hardest to judge and Simon (lordmoonpie) got my vote. Although I didn't vote for this bike, I'm sure I would have had Simons CR750 not been in the contest. One of the tidiest bikes and with a lot of thought gone into it. Clean, simple and no black wheel rims gets my vote.

It is a beautiful hardtail chop.  You don't have to be into choppers to appreciate the thoughtful design and skillful execution of that bike.

Have to agree on Cqyqte chopper changing how I look at them.  CB500four's build is in my Favourites, as reference for my own race build.  Then there is that great selection of cafes, not to mention the equally fine stockers.  Big question for me is - would I park it in the front row, and ride it?

So that gets me down to 3.   D#* this is tuff, but I still have a week.
