I am up for vb.

Cool beans.

I have to make sure I'm free that weekend now. For some reason the wife said our family will be doing Easter that weekend. WTF?

I'd take a pair on loan. You going to make it out to the meat this month? I'm thinking Van Buren this go round.

VB on the 31st?  I can swing that.  I can bring those collars then or snail mail 'em to ya if you're in a hurry to make fire.

I'll shoot you my official address if you don't have it already.

I pulled the oil drain plug last night and made a huge mess. For some reason I thought I drained all of the old oil already, but my garage floor would say otherwise. I had a small cup ready for it, but it just wasn't enough. All of this is because I found some bare wires on the alternator leads when wiring, and decided to swap it out for a spare now rather than later. Getting closer. Sorta.

Got the addr.  If I get a chance, I'll mail those at lunch.  If you need anything else off of it to get it fired up let me know.

I haven't done anything to my bike aside from pulled the fiberglass off to see how many spots cracked.  Several.  Got to redo my battery tray too.  It was in the line of tire.

That's why healthy pre rides are always a good idea. Better to find out now rather than the middle of the Ozarks. Did that bike have any mufflers by chance?

I'd say that was a shakedown run from hell.  Very rough terrain.  The 350 had no headers or mufflers.  Just collars and clamps.

I'm trying to find a pair for less. I know it probably sounds retarded, but I'm just a cheap bastard.

The only other thing I can think of is the piece of rubber that connects the air boxes to the battery box area. I have one, but need two. Shown as #2 in the pic below....

I was thinking the same thing. Curious what he would want for a pair though. I'll call down there later and see.

I'll look at my collection when I get home and see if I have one of those laying around.  Do the air cleaners connect via a tube on the bottom of the battery box?

Yeah, similar to the 360 setup, but it's not D shaped it's O shaped.

The 360 carbs seem to run pretty good.  The left one leaned out on me, but then I noticed one of the brass fittings popped out of the petcock and the fuel line was dangling off to the side.  I think it's going to get a redneck fix for the time being.

I had to tutor some poor sap from UALR on some software today, so I didn't get a change to dig through my other parts for that air box grommet.  I did however swing in to the post office real quick and get the collars in the mail.

Bike is all wired minus head and tail lights. Those are easy runs from my fuse panel, so no large amount of time will be needed to finish up. Need to finish the seat pan and mounts, head light mounts, tail light mounts, and shorten a few bolts. I also noticed that the kz wasn't running until April 10th last year, so I don't feel so far behind now.
