I PMed Jerry about the possibility of dedicating at least the last part of the Rally to Ernie, maybe pass his picture along with Godzilla so he is symbolically part of the ride.

What are the details? Natural causes hopefully? I enjoyed his posts, quite the character and always had a unique insight on things.
Hopefully he had a good fulfilling life before passing on.

I know he was ill and his old lady took a hike. Maybe all together it worsened his health.

The wit and wisdom of Ernie. You will be missed my brother. I'm glad we could be a small part of your life. May your final ride to the sky be peaceful.

I'd love to see a real life picture of Ernie beside his avatar which I always assumed is a self portrait. As Bobby has mentioned I think we should dedicate the ride to the memory of Uncle Ernie. Does anyone actually know Ernie or can anyone that had contact with him provide little bits about him so that we may have more to remember him by? Can a member of the other forum copy and paste that thread here so we can all see it?

I'm shocked at this news , Paul (uncle ernie ) has helped me out in the past posting parts from the US to the UK for me, he will be sadly missed what a great guy,
