Hondaman, you didn't pick up 22 magnum by accident did you?

.22 Magnum has a longer cartridge case from memory. I loved using CCI Stingers in my old H&R .22 magnum on foxes, it would fcuk them up big time. My cuz, always the sceptic opined that .22 Magnum was “Snake oil”, so we did a test.

He filled a 4 gallon paint bucket and fired a couple of standard .22 LR rounds into it. The projectiles entered the bucket, but once they hit the water, the velocity was so reduced, they didn’t come out the other side and sank to the bottom. I then fired two .22 magnum CCI Stingers into the bucket, and it exploded, massive pressure wave blowing water everywhere and the projectiles ripped 1” wide holes out the other side, and the projectiles were never to be seen again.

My cousin bought a HR .22 magnum over 20 gauge shotgun combo a week later...... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Wow, our vintage plates are $121 and good forever. They even transfer to a new owner with the bike. No inspections or logbooks. We have them for cars and trucks too. I have them on both of my MGB/GT's. I just have to have one vehicle on a regular license plate.

Yep, that makes sense to me mate, you have 15 times Oz's population crammed into a land mass about the same size, so you've got 15 times as many taxpayers. Actually, looking at it that way, you're getting hosed, but that's OK, your salaries are lower than here in Oz (I'm on a 6 figure USD salary, plus a couple of military pensions) and I'm sure your tax money isn't just going to line the pockets of billionaires who get multi-million tax refunds for declared "losses", while paying fcuk-all taxes........ ;D

If we didn't have the vintage plates there no way we could afford to have 10 bikes licensed. Our state's vintage plate system is nice, not a lot of oversight. There are some that abuse it(isn't there always) but overall it works well and it allows people to keep running their classic vehicles. My daily driver is an 85' GMC S-15 pickup that I have on regular plates even though it is old enough to be on collector plates. I don't know about 15 times as many taxpayers with all of the people and corporations that weasel out of paying their share and that pisses me off.:D

Thanks Terry but Nah, we're just punching holes in paper. I got a gorgeous Savage 22 target rifle with a multicolor thumbhole Boyd's stock, BSA scope, barrel is heavy as heck.  I got some today and won't shoot them in a year most likely. I have an old 1930's Savage gill gun, click clack, ranger #5, it has lots of names but it's fussy about hi velocity ammo so I'm testing different types to see what semi auto loads reliably.
Folks here are hoarding guns and ammo like they were toilet paper last year. Makes no sense.
We already typed "bullet" so I'm sure we're on a list in that big computer in Virginia anyway.

Hey, Don, while we're typing "bullet"....I recently bought some (hard to find!) 22 LR that wasn't specially marked (just 'High velocity", but only 1150 fps), but the tips are so long that I can't load them in my revolver(!). They are also loose...have you seen anything like that? They are CCI, too, my fave.

Pissed me off, wasted the prime reason we went to the range that day, to break in a new Rodent Ruinator...
No, that's a new one. Sounds like a defect, I'm partial to the cci also. The youtube info I've found says it compares good to the Wolf brand this target gun is supposedly set up for. The old wolf was German but now made in England and testing (one guy on the tube) shows the new has bigger groups. My brother has two bricks of old German made target grade but not anxious to sell them to me. He might think they are sandcast.

I don't know about 15 times as many taxpayers with all of the people and corporations that weasel out of paying their share and that pisses me off.:D

Yeah mate, what gets me is that some of these rich pr1cks actually boast about cheating on their taxes, like they're really smart and should be respected for not paying their fair share. I usually pay around $30K USD in income tax each year, then when I do my tax return the government puts out their hand for more, and I usually have to cut them a cheque (check) for another couple of grand, which pisses me off.

This year, because of Covid-19 and the 2 lockdowns, I was working from home, and allowed to claim for things like setting up a home office, heating, purchase of office equipment etc, and I actually got a refund, for the first time in many years, which came in handy as I needed to buy lots of K0 parts.

Of course, while I'm paying my "fair share", Google, Ebay, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft etc, are paying very little or no taxes here in Oz. Obviously there are two sets of rules, one for the "haves", and one for the "Have nots", and that pisses me off.......... ;D

It is absolutely bucketing down rain outside. Covid-19 has changed my travel plans (again) so I opted for a nice ride tomorrow regardless, but much more rain is predicted for tomorrow. Think I'll go anyway, just need to wear my wet weather gear and take it easy in the twisties......... and that pisses me off. ;D

I spotted a set of K7 gauges on Gumtree (Craigslist equivalent) for $150 just a few minutes after they were listed last night. I messaged the guy saying I'd take them if he's mail them to me, he responded that he was happy to send them, and he'd send me payment details today. I just checked my messages, he sent me one to say "Thanks for your message, unfortunately my ad is no longer available". I'm guessing someone offered him more money than he advertised them for, which pisses me off. Oh well, it takes all kinds............ ;D

I bought a brand new front mudguard/fender from DSS then did the unspeakable and bobbed it because my build is a bobbery ratty bratty one.
Get home from my first decent run-in ride, and there is a grape sized dent in the top of the guard. WTF?, I did go on a few roughish side roads so I could rev it out a bit. Reckon the guard has come up and hit the horn on one of the bigger bumps. That pisses me off. Especially, seeing I put progressive springs in the front forks.

Thanks Bill, no I think he's cool, he knows me from these forums, and told me how much he enjoys my posts (God only knows why....) so I think he's the real deal, I'm guessing that was some sort of standard Gumtree message once an item has been sold, but it was confusing. Anyway, I'll look forward to having working gauges on the Effing F2! ;D

There is a eBay seller with what appears to be nice quality stems for a few bikes. The 75 cb550 had a turn signal stem that was unique on a few designs. He might have them for your bike. Search for the honda part number with Honda prefix.

I do that occasionally, it's the 75-78 ads that bug me. I put 78 fork ears on a 76 without realizing they weren't 76. Now that they're on there, I cobbled up adapters but they aren't perfect and it bugs me.

Ebay seller I mention is making repro to parts... Since mist old stems start developing pits in the chrome and are impossible to re-chrome, if you could afford it. I was looking at aftermarket.
