Things that have changed
« on: December 26, 2021, 07:00:48 PM »
Getting close to digging out my 750 k8. Just wondering what are some of the new things people are doing these days. Things besides simple led light swaps or dyna s. Like this m unit thing I came across.

Everything I'm doing is old. The latest cutting edge technology from 1978. I did get a dyna ignition for one bike.

I was startled at the low weight.
Dare I ask about the range?

New fork springs are in order for front end to work properly, so don't forget them. The originals and many springs of yesteryear were pretty crappy and wore out quickly (10k or less)...

Good question...... it just tops 100 mph, so with a smaller motor and lots of battery, might be good? Did you notice no brake or shift pedals?! Either the disc brakes are linked to one master or two separate on the bars..... Truly “twist and go”.

No I didn't notice that. I wonder if it's got any regenerative braking going on in the motor?

Ttr400, might have to look into that. How about exhaust replacements? I know cyclex had them, haven't looked recently.

There are also two different frames pictured. It starts out as a "K" model frame, then a later picture looks like an "A" model frame. Need more details.

Yup that's an Hondamatic frame alright, and with a disc brake in the rear. They could have saved what 30lbs staying with a drum?
