Sand is better than nothing, however I remember seeing it done using lead, and that really worked great. Want to guess how long ago that was?  ;D

Couldn't get my cone layout app on the phone to do what I wanted, so took a lucky guess using the inner and outer of a roll of masking tape.  Lucky guess!





Need a bit of tidying before welding on a belt sander, which I don't have, but I like the overall shape.

Every time I see unbaffled megaphones like that, I think of Lord Moonpie's racing exhaust on "Doctor D" Dave Hiller's 750F and Vincent's CR for the street.  Doctor D's can wake up half of Seattle with his pipes on the dyno.

1/4 of the exhausts done, well nearly, not going to put the megas on until the swingarm, rearsets etc. are in place.

Probably, this was just a mock up to see if they were any where close to being ok.  I'll be tweaking them further.

Exhausts finished, stuff going for paint this week, so I'll be back in a few weeks/months for your opinions on my planned paint job. (I know the forks are backwards

Very Nice. Are you able to change the oil without moving the pipes or are you going to install a remote filter and oil cooler?
What color scheme for your tank, etc, are you going for?

Those pipes look like they took some time to weld up.  I am not an exhaust expert but do the sharp bends at the exhaust port present any flow issues?  I like how tightly the tubes tuck on the bottom of the frame.

I'm no expert either!  But there is about 60mm straight pipe before the bends which are 3 x 30 degrees.  I'll be surprised if it runs at all after I'm finished!  Running well will be an added bonus
