Just saw this over on his Facebook page. Last active here July 12, 2018.

For anyone who comes to this FB page to communicate with Silas...Binky Sigh...he left us at 8:07 am on August 31st due to complications from illness. Silas had a massive heart attack while in ICU...he was not treated well while in hospital and from being taken there until he passed, which was only 12 hours...he was not respected by the staff and in particular the Emergency doctor who attended to him. I witnessed it and am writing a formal complaint to Alberta Health Services.
I am his mother....his absence is devastating...the grief is profound...he was truly the most non-judgmental, compassionate and loving person I have known. He has been my strength through my cancer surgery, treatment and he always joked and told me that I would outlive him. His absence in my life is profound. If not for my daughter and grandsons, I do not know what direction I would be taking now. There are many stages of grief...the 'peeling of an onion' idiom. Right now I am at the ANGRY stage....angry at the people who took advantage of his kindness...who used and abused him...and in particular the women he had relationships with.
Two women in particular including the daughter of one...
He always did everything he could to give and rarely took...
My heart is shattered and it is so unfair....so wrong...He turned 45 on July 27th this year...
I am sitting here looking at his chair..holding his cane...wishing for him to come home.

Life is fleeting. He was certainly freely giving when typing up his posts here, I figured he must have been quite a character. I can feel the pain in his mother's Facebook post and hope she can find some comfort. Sorry to hear we've lost another member.

He was definitively gifted in gab, the motor mouth stream of loosely connected and yet revolving around the topic was both maddening and captivating. It is only the product of a fertile and sharp mind such could be born.  He would strike with one of his tombs of prose out of the blue and be gone again...lurking until his next appearance. Definitively a character, RIP SoyBoySign and may his mother find comfort and peace and justice if it is deserved.

Although I was seldom able to wade through his posts in their entirety, his posts were chocked full of some amazing deep research of vintage road racing and 70's japanese motorcycle parts inter-changeability.  And he was known not just here.  I have seen his posts on several other motorcycle forums that I am a member of.  I will miss attempting to digest his posted thoughts.

And, of course, my condolences to his family and friends...he must have been a unique individual and the world is sorely lacking of these...

I ran into him (his posts) on several other forums. I am amazed about myself that I have to say, I will miss him. He was definitely thinking outside the box a lot of times.

Wow, I just saw this now, a year ago tomorrow I was in hospital surrounded by really good medical types, having major surgery to stop me from eventually leaping off my mortal coil, and poor bloody Silas was also in hospital on the other side of the world, not being looked after very well according to his mom, and left the world way too young. I'm sorry I didn't know you better mate, and I'm sorry I didn't read your posts as completely as I should have, there was probably wisdom in all that prose. RIP mate.
