CB750K SOHC turn signal question

The parts manual lists two different part numbers for the front and rear turn signals - I always thought they were four of the same. Is there a real difference, and is there a good OEM replacement for them?

What year? The wiring is different on the early vs late models. Yamiya has good a/m ones for the early type.

I think the housings and lenses are the same, but the front bulb socket uses the twin filament bulb (running light and turn signal), while the rear bulb socket uses a single filament bulb (turn only)

Yep, looks like dual filament was introduced up front in 77/78 on the 750K models. 750K models through 76' were all single element.

My 1976 K6 (owned since brand new) came with Dual Filament bulbs up front and single filament in the rear.

...so I'm thinking I'd better stick to single wires front and rear...but I still can't figure out why the part numbers are different.

Following the parts fiches, it appeared that the early models had single element front and rear, but looks can be deceiving.

I have sourced red lenses for the rear of my K8 and have considered swapping the rear to dual filament for visibilities sake...

I have a very early 750. It has no running lights, so single positive connection. The turn signals are only turn signals. The headlight is the running light.

 The difference may be the ground wire. I think the rears have a different ground wire. I could be wrong. I believe externally they are the same.
