Missing a HEX. (8X80) bolt

My K4 is missing a few small parts. PO provided a lot of the stock stuff he took off during his cafe' project :'( , but I am missing one of these bolts for the luggage rack and have not been able to locate a replacement. 
09 BOLT, HEX. (8X80)
93000-08080-0B  002 $1.49
Local hardware store metric bolts of same description (M8-80mm, 1.25) seem too thick.

Am i mistaken about the thread size or do I just need a Honda original bolt? ??? Online stores are out of stock any other ideas to find a replacement?

One 8mm bolt will not be "thicker" than another 8mm bolt.  8)

 Try Bolt Depot.com- I just redid a K4 and they had about every bolt I needed. Pretty sure they would have that bolt for less than $2.

I have used these guys a couple of times. Although their prices can be pretty high (shipping too) they have a larger selection and specialize in all sorts of metric fasteners, connectors, clips, tools, etc. Also where I get metric ear clamps for Audi hoses. If you have other stuff to buy might be worthwhile...

I am not sure how it happened, but the bolts from local hardware store marked M8x80mm don't fit,but the one from Fastenal fits. Maybe QC or other human error. Anyway the luggage rack is now securely attached at 4 points.

I've seen bolts mixed randomly by other shoppers at the local hardware store...

Probably. All is well. Unfortunately Fastenal was 3x the price.

I tossed both of them. $2.81 for 2 is not much of a bargain when wrong.
