Incredibly smooth idle, mine has the typical slightly lumpy idle, yet once off idle it just plain pulls right to 10k redline. I ride it then hop on my 400f for a shorty ride afterwards, two totally different experiences.

Even in stock trim it's got a seamless power delivery right up to the rev limiter, giving it some topend rush has gotta be impressive.

F'ing Yamaha. it's funny how well they mix together I offered to build another 961 engine to a local, pretty fast FZ racer.You can get a decent amount of power and torque out of these things not using one single piece of aftermarket performance stuff
