  Incredibly smooth idle, mine has the typical slightly lumpy idle, yet once off idle it just plain pulls right to 10k redline. I ride it then hop on my 400f for a shorty ride afterwards, two totally different experiences.

Forks are early R6, right side up so suitable for classic racing, rear is a later model FZ 750 swingarm with a GSXR shock.

First test done, both riders were pleased with the wide torque range and top end power, though there is more to come when we start to rev the engine higher...

  Even in stock trim it's got a seamless power delivery right up to the rev limiter, giving it some topend rush has gotta be impressive.

I've ridden a couple of stock FZ's and they are nice but this thing is a very different beast

it's funny how well they mix together 
I offered to build another 961 engine to a local, pretty fast FZ racer.
You can get a decent amount of power and torque out of these things not using one single piece of aftermarket performance stuff
