#7 today, 404.2 miles through 4 states.
I started by coasting my bike down the street at 5am and started it up in front of my noisiest neighbor's house, rode around the corner and up the street to grab coffee and a breakfast sandwich before heading out at 5:20. I rode 495 south to RT2 Westbound, rode through Mohawk Trail State Forrest again with its curvy River road and the North Adam's, MA hairpin turn, then caught Rt7 to Pownal, VT to the Royal Enfield dealership there to meet up with four other riders, I arrived there at 8:40am and we headed out for the RE dealership in Albany, NY a few minutes later. We arrived about 10:30 and made the rounds meeting and greeting members I'm familiar with on the RE forum. I'll guess there were at least 75 bikes lined up for a group ride, we spent about 2 hours on back roads west of Albany, crowded the parking lot and pumps for a fuel stop, then a second stop a bit later at a scenic lookout where we took group photos and socialized for a while. After all of that the group continued on, some stayed behind and said our goodbyes before heading our separate ways. I rode back with a forum member who lives about 30 miles from me. We took back roads through Albany to Bennington, VT where we picked up Rt7 and 9 west to Brattleboro where we split up. I continued on 9 west into New Hampshire then kept west on I dunno 111 and 101, 101a, 28, and 97 back home for 6:35pm. The bike and those clapped out Ceat tires worked very well, but the tires do wander in cracks, grooves, gratings and tar snakes just like everyone says they do.
