haha! well I wasn't aware of that, so thanks for chiming in! well i guess he's doing it with someone who learned from Pops, or maybe someone else who makes quality exhaust. hopefully i'll get the shipment in asap, and i can share pictures!!

I had one on my 750 in the 80's. It came with one when I bought it, and I bought another after the silencer fell off 1 mile from home after returning from the 84 Assen GP. The ones sold in the UK were not welded up, so the downtubes clamped to the silencer. the silencer was also bent "s" by machine, and the centre stand was still usable, also the pipes bent around the centre of the engine for easy oil filter removal.
I sold it a couple of years ago to a guy in the state who was builting a classic racer for Daytona.

that's a pretty sweet machine you had there! see, i don't really care about using my center stand as it's just dead weight, and it's really hard to pull the bike up with clubmans! either that, or i have the worst form ever... but i like to think i have some technique, as i've pulled plenty of big ass BMW K1200's with just good form!

So this Yoshimura replica from carpy (c750cafe.com) is still possible to order?
Anybody here that has ordered and got it lately?

I have mailed (shop@cb750cafe.com) regarding shipment to Europe (Sweden), price and other small details about parts from the website. No respond despite 2 mails 2 weeks ago. Maybe too busy...
I prefer to check that everything's Ok and available before ordering and transfer money via Paypal.

- Maybe the 4-2-1 from Cycle Exchange is something to consider?

The Yoshi is also available from Japan as mentioned earlier in this thread, but the model from Carpy is tougher and my first choice of exhaust to my old friend since over 30 years.

I have got my CB 750 K6-77 back to my garage from storage in a friends barn. Last year I used it was 1990 ( bought it 1979) and time to restore it (again). Action Fours 836 cc (replaced RC 836cc when one got blown), ported head with F2 inlet valves, Action Fours SS-1 Cam, lightened alternator, Mikuni Smoothbores 29.

My plan is to replace the camshaft with something hotter like this from Cycle X: "370 lift and .282 duration" OR RC 315 replica from Dynoman, Cycle X Super-Rods, Heavy duty cylinder Stud Set, new valves with springs, retainers which probably are tired since 19 years of no use. Change position once a year by carefully kick the engine one revolution by hand.

And very important, a nice 4-1exhaust. I gave up my search for Yoshi 15 years ago. There are not many exhausts good enough for a modified CB 750 engine.

I spoke to Steve a couple of weeks back and he said he had some mates form Aus coming over, he had to organize a couple of container loads of parts to be sent back to Aus {i'm trying to get a yoshi thrown in}, so maybe he is just busy....

looks like he's going to ship it this thursday, as he got backed up and he was getting them back from the powder coater wednesday. i'm SO stoked!!! but i just wish i had a running motor and bike to throw it on! i will keep y'all posted when I get them!

if i didn't buy carpy's, i would have for sure saved up all my pennies for a benjie 4-4, as it is my #1 choice, but carpy's is the economical choice!

Can anyone attest to how loud Carpy's 4-1 is? I have heard some clips of real Yoshi's and they sound like track pipes.

When I emailed him a similar question he responded that it would sound similar to the exhaust he used on his Cobalt Special. Here's the video he made of that...

well you have to remember that his cobalt special is blown, using a magneto and has an 836 kit on it (or other big bore), therefore giving it a much better sound than a stock displacement with no forced induction... Either way, it'll sound good, nice bark at high rpms I bet, with the baffle in of course... It'll prolly sound tits without the baffle, but then you run the risk of burning up a valve!! Ahhhh, why can't we see any of that bail out money ourselves, then I could get my K back on the road and give yall sound clips!!! :-(

my bad. i was thinking it was a different bike. no blower or magneto, but still an 836cc. apologies...

but if anything, remove the yoshi baffle, then cut it down some so you get more noise! i'm sure it sounds plenty mean w/o a baffle! hard for a 4-1 to sound bad like that, no matter the brand!

Damn seeing all these video's makes me want to take one of the bike driving down the road. everyone I talked to said they love the way it sounds with the stock exhaust with no baffle.
