Goals for to finish before the end of the year
-finish brakes
-headlight HID
-find a good way to mount the glass fender
-better mount for the digital dash
-figure out a tail light
-mount a plate mount
-start wiring the bike

then comes the motor!

I apologize if I am asking a question that has already been answered, but do those calipers bolt directly to the 750f front end?

jaguar: Can you furnish some details on how you removed the site glass from the master cylinder and how you will put the new one in? And from where did you get the new one?

im using a CBR600F3 master so im not 100% about other masters....
i got the info from a old honda Magna board.
the site "glass" is in fact not glass. its a plastic.
i used a pick and broke the lens and pulled it out.
you need to be careful when removing the seal and plate.  if you are careful its easy to get back together.
i was not careful.....but really no big deal

im replacing the lens with a crystal from a watch.  and clear RTV to seal it back together.
http://wiki.sabmagfaq.org/Site_glass_replacement
there is a link to the place to buy the crystal
they have a min order so i bought a few sizes for down the road

i removed everything and had the master powercoated
plan is to reinstall the "glass" this week

yes the front brakes will bolt on.
use the brakets off a 1982 CB900F.  they use the brackets for a few different bikes.
they bolt right on to the 77-78 F legs.
the cb900F use twin 30mm pistons.  i used V65 calipers.  they have are twin 32mm pistons.  but have the same size calipers so they bolt onto the 82 brackets

I'm using a MC from a VF500, similar. Thanks for the comments and tips. What is the "seal and plate" you speak of?  I'll review the link you've provided.

Nice looking work!

There is an o ring type seal in the master
When I say plate I mean the thing in the window that helps you see the level

Not a whole lot has been going on.
Im a full time engineering student so been studying.....

Still need to order some more OEM brake parts to finish up that as a system.

going to really start thinking about what to do as far as motor for this bike.
been doing alot of reading on what i call a OEM+ motor.  the guys that use the DOHC CB900 cranks and such to make 1000+cc.
i really like the idea of doing that type of build.
anyone have some good links to parts lists or info on builds like that?  would love to do some research and see if that will suit my needs for this bike.

also thinking about running a hydraulic clutch.
started collecting parts.
so far i have a CBR1000F clutch master and slave.
Im going to start there because the master will match my F2/3 brake master and the slave is the thinnest looking that i could find OEM honda
i used bikebandit to cross the OEM part numbers to a few bikes that have the same parts and bought a nice set up on eBay cheap.
goal is to install the slave in the factory cover and hide the slave under the "tin" cover.  I really want that OEM hidden look.

placing an order for the rest of the OEM parts i need for the brakes today.

there were a few bolts that I couldnt get OEM replacements for so i had an idea to use gun blue on them as a refinish

i think it worked well.  im happy with the way they look.

so happy i had a nice beer and watched all of the Indiana Jones movies with the girl....

boiled a few parts in a simplegreen and water mix while the girl was at work.....came out GREAT.
saw that dresda NOS F swing arm......not sure if i want if for this bike or if i want a K one for a different build.

been reading up on different engine builds
i like the idea oh what i call and OEM+ build.  Like that guy that used a CB900F crank and other OEM parts to build a sick stroker
Thats really what i want to do with this bike.  Im still trying to find out what parts are needed so I can start trolling Ebay.
heard a latter F case is better because they have different trans bearings?
K head
cb900f crank
not really sure about rods.  some say DOHC rods but i cant see them as strong enough.

Great build, nice pictures. I am using dual piston calipers on my F1 with F2 forks. Calipers are from 1981 CB750F.
