The weather here was spectacular today so I had to take advantage of it.I took a ride over to the Santa Ynez Valley and Stopped to take a picture  of the Cold Springs Arch Bridge. The road on the bridge is Highway 154 and you can see the newly completed anti-suicide fencing the county had to put up to try to stop jumpers.

The road to the right of my bike in the bridge picture is the Old Stagecoach Road that goes to Cold Springs Tavern. Local Sunday motorcyclists destination of choice, mostly Harley riders but not exclusively. I didn't know the guys in this picture I took but as you can see they were very friendly. One of them asked me to let him take a picture of his girl friend on my bike, so I did. She was off the bike before I could get a picture of my own. Just as well as my wife wouldn't have liked it anyway.

Looks nice Stev-o.. Whats your favorite ride there?
I might get a chance to sample those roads sometime.
I have read a bit about the 3-3's.

My favorite ride is Ranch Road 1431, pictured above, since it is so close to my home. The 2012 Rally comes through here next month and I hope to ride the Fredericksburg area [good biergartens!]
3-3's?  That must be the the Three Sisters, legendary, come on down and let's do them!

Stev-o
I have a best friend in San Antonio and a someday visit to his place.
I'm sure I'd find any of these roads challenging.
Dont know that I have ever had a Lone Star either.
I think my CB would make it to Texas and back but I'm not so sure about my tired old body.
That 1431 looks mighty nice:

I need to pop in some new bearings in the rear, do something about my seat, and my 550 will be ready to go.   Spanner I wish I could've caught up with you guys at Barber's last year.   I went all the way on the 550 this time and the seat really beat me up.  I didn't really feel like doing anything but resting once I got there!   Oh well, at least I came back with pics of my unicorn, the NR750.
Just call me Timmaaaaay!!!

Hi Andy.... it's just a tinted , handlebar mounted windshield.... really just keeps the wind off your chest area.
I like it tho', even in hot weather.... worked good on Fri. morning going down I-24 for 100 miles @ 37deg. !!... didn't stop my fingers from turning numb tho '  :D.... Good luck on your Scotland trip, wish I was going too  :(
