I've been picking at this bike for about three years now, and it's finally together enough (and legal) to get it out for some longer rides.  I did about 100 miles all told the other day, and apart from a tach cable drive that leaks buckets (new seal and all), it did surprisingly well.

It started life as a '72 barn find, but all that remains of THAT bike is the motor.  Everything else is bits off two or three other bikes, all bolted to a frame that technically makes it a '75.  It's a Frankenbike in the purest sense of the word, but I love it.

Yes that looks great Lucien. The gold looks great even on a Frankenstein farm bike. Enjoy the heck out of it.

That's kind of you to say StockRider and also grcamna2!  Yeah that turbo hits with a vengeance over about 7500.  It'll rev to well over 10K (I really need a rev limiter!) but that is just too scary.

2nd ride this year. This time new rear tire, my new helmet I purchased 1 year ago for my brown K2.
Weather started OK. +13.5C and sunny that changed to cloudy and finally rain and cold +9C the last 10 minutes of my 140km ride.

I had planned to take nice photos of my K2 with nice views.

A stop at a burger, sausage, kebab restaurant the highligt on photo ;)

When I had eaten down to the meaty layer ;D mmmmm ;D

First ride with my new boots. My needs matched the 50% off.
Only black available. No red ones.
All red shipped to OZ?

That food looks great Per, I have to actually go to work tomorrow, after "working from home" for over a year, I'm looking forward to walking up the street at lunchtime for either a Kebab or a nice Chinese dish. Anyway, I had my most successful ride on my K2 "Bitsa" today, first ride in 2 years where it hasn't either limped home, or gone home on the back of a tow truck. Only a quick 60 miler today, but the newly built Wiseco 836 with the Andrews A grind cam felt strong and did all the right things. Bit of an issue with oil pressure (see my build thread) but otherwise, a great ride. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I've got an RC836 with an mild Andrews cam also Terry. I remember years ago I needed a cam because the stocker broke an ear and I went to a shop named Mel's of a guy who was kind of a 750 guy. In his showcase was the Andrews brand new for the princely sum of 45 bucks. Think I got it for $40.00  :D

I had the chance to let my K6 out on the roads for the first time this year.
I like the smell of new motor paint baking on the hot newly restored head.
I remember first rides back in the days  after winter and smell of warm degreaser (naptha), when stopped.
Better photo this time. On a road I like between Salbohed (small village in the countryside) and Avesta (small city). There is a network of nice roads like this in the area around here.
Beautiful cruising road, no need to ride too fast. Animals and others out there.
