Itook Pandora in our annual Father's Day camping trip to Muscle Shoals Alabama. Northern Alabama is so beautiful and has plenty of great roads to keep an old gal like her entertained. Of course, everywhere we went, Pandora got all of the attention while the newer bikes along with me were ignored. Check out my friend's sweet naked Wing, it was a head turner also. Old Hondas are the best!

I'd love to restore a 75 Wing but many parts are just too hard to find.

Photo taken Friday afternoon on my way to visit a bunch of friends in the summer cottage. Good company and fantastic weather, so all in all a great weekend. Bike has now done 1K miles since the winter rebore and is running well. Am also enjoying the fact that the head gasket now keeps the oil inside the engine rather than running down the front plus misting everything aft of the head. There's still work to be done; the final drive seal leaks so it may be engine out (again) this winter to fix that. Also, the carbs need balancing and there's an annoying flat spot at small throttle openings. But still happy with the progress.

The final drive seal can be replaced with the engine in the frame.

Is it the seal, or the automatic chain oiler?

Thanks guys, I have had the sprocket cover off to see what was going on. There was fresh oil on the casings behind the sprocket, just in line with the output shaft so I believe that's where it's coming from. The chain oiler is screwed all the way in but that's no guarantee that it's sealing. I will double check before doing anything. Good to hear it's possible to replace the seal with the engine in situ; I've seen different opinions on this recently.

Hesitation at low lifts can be air screws.
Stock setting is 1 turn out +/- 1/8.
It might be turned out too much. My K2 with K6 carbs prefer 1 turn -1/8.

I did my 24th 100(+) miler yesterday. The weather wasn't great, but as the forecast for today thru to Monday is supposed to be rain, rain, and more fcuking rain, I took an early knockoff at 12.30, and as it was raining a little, put all of my cold weather riding gear on, and jumped on the ol' K2 bitsa for a 130 mile ride to have my first Heathcote pie in over a month.

I had a great ride, but found every pothole in the road, and jarred my back so bad I had to get off after awhile and have a walk around and a stretch. I think the lower bars I put on it exacerbated the jarring so I'm gonna install some OEM K2 bars on it when I install the new progressive fork springs. I'll crank up the spring pre-load and rebound damping on the Koni's too. Sore back aside, it was a great day. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Another good ride on the K2 with wife today. Bike runs really well with nice sound from all 4 pipes. +0.50mm pistons make it to 748cc ;D
A gear down or two, road blocking slower cars are soon history in the mirrors ;)

Good country roads where we could cruise 100-120kmh most of the time to a small village (Kopparberg) around 130km from home. I saw a sign that guided us to a swimming area, a lake.

That place looked as the equal beaches around my home town looked in the 60-70's.

We took a longer way home to ride on other roads and see more.
