well, I suggested English Movers as shippers on someones forums, I don't think it was here.
I had nothing but good communications with them and the bike got here fine. $500 bucks from
California so to Boston it certainly ought to be cheaper than that. Found them on the UShip site.

Once again, Martha has spent the whole week cleaning house, I've spent 3 days preening the yard and bathed both dogs.  The fatted calf is at the butchers, and I have a whole line of dignataries lined up that I will have to disappoint.  Sorry we'll miss you again, Sam.  There's always a bed here for another trip.

I'm back in Tampa, Sam was looking forward to another day of racing when I left Valdosta this morning.
I left Sam in the capable hands of his friend Jack, another dragbike racer from England (who just happens to have a rental car)

The last I heard, the plan was to rent a van and haul the 750 up to Boston.

Speaking of the 750a   Here is the pictorial view of Sam's one and only Qualifying run. The slowest allowable time is 18.99 so Sam was well in the running with a blazing 18.245 before the carb troubles.  


You can see Sam with his Crew Chief Jack waiting in the queue.


Finally he moves up and graciously declines the burnout.

Both Racers are ready, It is plain to see his opponent is worried when confronted with the awesome power of the 750A.


And there off.


Blinding acceleration as he makes his way to the finish.


Well maybe not so blinding, his opponent has already finished.


And he 's still going.


There we have it. Sam 18.245 opponent 9.494 (In my opinion Sam was still the winner)


And here he is after a successfull Qualifying run, to bad the bike didn't hold up for the races.

I know it all seems to be a good laugh and thanks for the good ideas guy but I had to make an on the spot decision while I still had someone with me that could help.
I'm going to look for a van in the morning and head up to Atlanta to sort out Billy for the Tee shirts he sent me.
Rocking-m is next and then push on to Boston.
Need to get out for food now, so will get back on shortly.

No Jeff, Bill will be picking me up later in the day as I couldn't get a van rental in the area.
I'll be in Atlanta tonight and new plans will be made there.
This is my last post as we have to be out of the hotel and my mate Jack has to make his way home to Jacksonville Fl as he is running out of his meds due to staying with me an extra day.

Sam its a 1000 miles even from Atlanta to Boston. Weather is going to be good in the NE for the rest of the week and apparently good after that as well. If the bike can do 65 mph on the interstate why not ride it? Much cheaper. Take you 3 days at best.

Ok we have Sam stuck in Atlanta with a rusty tank and 1000 miles between him and Boston, MA. If Sams up for it we can get him a clean K tank which he can swap out the rusty one allowing him a 1000 mile sunny-weather ride to Boston (sunny most of the week up here anyway).

Sam - what do you say? I have a lead on a tank (you know who it is) and we`ll chip in to get it overnighted to you at the hotel. Cant be that much right? Let us know what you think...much cheaper and much more enjoyable than renting a van.....temps are going to be in the 50`s in Boston (daytime) and Wal Mart will sell you some cheap thermals....the adventure starts here

He will call when he is headed back to Atlanta and then tomorrow Bill and I will start to work on Sams bike.  if
its too much work then we go to plan B.

Just got of the phone with Sam, he didn't go into details as to the plan but their fixing to
get a bite to eat and head to Atlanta. Probably be at least 11pm before they roll into Atlanta.

After a few hours drive talking with Bill, it seems like I have known him for years.
