Put 20mi on it this afternoon. First time it's been on the road in since 2001.

Nice job resurrecting your bike.
What took so you so long? 8)
Technically it only took about three and a half years to rebuild it. It sat from Nov 2001 to Nov 2021 after a bit of an accident.

Nice work! That’s a pretty unique fairing. Where from?
It's an AF Asahi No.99 Mini Sport windshield straight from Japan. Got it new from an ebay seller for $100 USD. Used by commuters, gangsters, and bosozoku riders across Japan since the '50s.

Very funky and I like it!

Started refurbish on a set of drag pipes I got from a swap meet, they had to be cut apart but have survived my brutal treatment, need a good clean and maybe assess for ceramic coating if there's too much rust damage.

No one of my cb's has a electronic turn signal buzzer but the idea sounds great to me to install one  ;)

Hope you had the frame checked, and il be certain bottom tree was toasted
I did. I actually replaced the trees w/a complete '76/'77 F front end dressed up w K4 tins and boots, as my trees were visibly broken and fork tubes bent to hell (hence the taller lowers and Tarozzi fork brace that can kinda be seen if you zoom in on the pic).
I also had the frame professionally checked out and straightened by Velocity Calibrations.

Uncovered the K1 and the K3 to make a “to do” list. My son and I are signed up for a +600 kilometre, two day ride with the guys (and gal) from the Ganaraska CVMG section, this coming weekend. Chris lives in Toronto and expects to “arrive and ride”. No complaints, I’m really looking forward to it! We don’t often get to just buzz off on our own (he has three kids and a very busy life). Photo from the ride we took last Fall. The weather sucked, so I bailed and took the Varadero……

It works well in light rain. It was pouring and we ended up equally wet!

Chain lube without a centre stand. Awkward!

I use a 4" ratchet strap attached to the rear grab and piece of angle iron bolted to the ceiling joists in my garage and just "jack" it up.  Not awkward!

This works pretty well. It sits on the side stand and the front wheel and I just Jack the RR foot peg enough so the rear wheel is clear of the ground.

This is how I lube chain and remove the rear wheel.
Last tire change.
Lift under left footpeg, jackstand under the other.
Pegs can rotate a little. Easy to adjust.

This is the intercom I got for us. Work very well (almost any distance, within line of sight). They stay charged for a couple of days at least. Very clear too. Older version, quite cheap on Amazon.
